Aside from that I wouldn't really mind about a 3-year gap inbetween. Sounds totally ok to me. My gaps used to be a lot bigger but I never cared about it either. And he initially lied about his age for the same reason I would...at least color my age to sound more appealing to the woman: because he was afraid you might perceive and judge him as a little immature boy, being younger than you and all, so he feels he has to work harder to measure up to other men older than you. Generally, I just avoid that awkward feeling altogether by only pursuing younger women. I have heard of age differences of almost twenty years, so three is nothing.
