Third Sex

I'm not sure if the absence of sexuality, romanticism and gender would constitute a third sex. I feel neutral in so many ways. Literally like a car in neutral - neither going forward or back.
Maybe sex, gender and romance can only be expressed in a positive way - as in a 'doing' way, rather than a lack of. Maybe a lack of sexuality isn't in itself a sexuality, but instead is some sort of condition or problem. I don't know the answer to any of this.
I guess that if a person didn't like fishing, didn't own a fishing rod or any bait or books on fishing, and never thought about fishing, then they wouldn't be part of the fishing community on those grounds. That wouldn't make sense at all.
Possibly my utter lack of sexual interest, romantic interest and lack of gender identity goes beyond the scope of this community and into something like Asperger's or some sort of medical issue. Maybe some hormone signals are missing, or extra ones are present.

Third sex? I... I just feel neutral.

Yeah, but human identity is a bit different. I assume you're referring to the LGBTQ+ community (preferably the GSRM community), in which case, aren't we still a GSR minority...?

I heartily disagree.

On the contrary. I've had my hormones checked, and I've had several... hmmm, examinations is probably the best word, and I've not been diagnosed with Aspergers's or anything of the sort.

GSRM?
Sorry - I'm not up on all the acronyms.
I really wasn't meaning to say that any of this applies to you, so please don't take it personally - it wasn't about anyone but me.
I'm still not convinced that having zero interest in a thing makes you a part of that thing - no matter how minor. That seems to be a peculiarity of modern sexual/gender politics rather than common sense.... if I don't eat chocolate, don't like chocolate and never think about chocolate, that doesn't make me a part of the chocolate-loving community.

But if someone isn't cis or isn't allo allo, they would generally be classified as a gender, sexual, or romantic minority. I feel like analogy is a little awkward here. I think it might be more the minority status that I find relevant.

Sorry, I don't understand any of this.

Plato's Symposium explains that humans all used to be conjoined, two souls together in a third, androgynous gender. That species became split, so two souls would forever be looking for their other half. It's a good read.

I've always considered asexuality as the fourth identity.  Gay, straight, bi, and..... non or "A"sexual.  There might even be many more types of identities if you consider the likes of pedophilia or beastiality.

Like someone who isn't cis is a gender minority, and someone who isn't straight is a sexual or romantic minority.

"I'm not sure if the absence of sexuality, romanticism and gender would constitute a third sex. "

As far as this is concerned, that wouldn't make a "third sex."  Those things have nothing to do with sex.  But anyway, there's nothing wrong with feeling neutral about all of those things.  It might not be normal, but there's nothing inherently bad about being abnormal.

Asexuality can be a symptom of mental conditions like Asperger's or low hormones, yes. So looking into it with a clinical psychologist/hormone specialist couldn't hurt; after you've looked up the symptoms and have them that is. Specifically "do I have high-functioning autism or hypothyroid" to the corilating Drs not "is this causing my Asexuality Doc?". Treating the former won't change things, but treating the latter can result in a person becoming sexual. Alot of the quick lists for Asperger's symptoms just list the social awkward ones; which isn't what the condition is so you have to look for the right one. I wouldn't even mention asexuality since it could just cause the Dr to get annoyingly confused and run needless other things on you.

Gender Sexual and Romantic Minorities.

The normal alternative to LGBT+ is GSM, but yes it doesn't include everything. Yours doesn't include non-platonically sensual orientations. So really it should just be GOM; Gender and Orientation Minorities.

Some may ask what a (non-platonic) sensual orientation is. It's when someone doesn't want sexual activity nor a partnership for their desired actions, but they desire actions that are clearly not platonic. Some heteroromantic heterosexual women desire to make out with other women (not for the attention) and thus have a different sensual orientation.

I've not seen anything better than GSRM before, but I definitely like GOM!

@BionicPi What GOM also stands for though (link)... I don't think it's too bad but still could cause some clash. Maybe it'd be better to include the 'and'; GAOM; I didn't get any search results for that.

I couldn't see what I expected in the link, maybe I lost the plot a bit , but it does seem to me that triple neutrality is a thing in itself. Being ace, aro and neutrally minded about gender.

It took  me longer to come to terms with gender identity.  If it weren't for AVEN, I would have vastly different views on gender identity.  I used to equate being trans gender with being gay, and that was less than five years ago.

There is a third sex: intersex.

Also, by your especifications, no. Sex as it is refers to the physical external parts, not what is in the brain. For that there's gender and sexual attraction.

@Bjob, why couldn't we consider being a Eunuch as a gender identity?  I once saw a TV show that profiled the Eunuch culture in India and it is really a big thing there.  I am still not sure whether Eunuchs are castrated by choice or when they are too young to make that decision for themselves.

I wouldn't have thought that eunuchs would have a big thing :P:P
