Xavy
Hi Everyone, a few weeks ago, I set up a "google alert" through my gmail account to send an email notification to me every time google found a new article on the internet with the key word "Asexual". I didn't really expect much to come out of this, but surprisingly, almost every day I get an alert with a new article, some days more than one. For instance, here is one I got today: https://www.queerty.com/asexual-guys-madly-love-just-zero-interest-sex-one-another-20170709 and here is another from 2 days ago : https://www.glamour.com/story/asexuality-q-a-2017 and this one : http://www.metro.us/things-to-do/new-york/my-dear-watson-rare-asexual-love-story-sherlock-holmes That is just a few of the links I received through my google alert. Now, obviously, I have also received linked that have nothing to do with HUMAN asexuality, like this one about algae http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2017-07/08/c_136427017.htm but I can live with that because I have received so many great articles that I would have otherwise missed and plus, Its great to know that there is so much new content on the internet almost daily about asexuality. Well, I just wanted to share this, in case anyone else wanted to set up a similar google alert, but I will also try to post links to other articles I get. I may even go back and find some of the other ones from the last few weeks and post them here.
Pramana
Thanks for the tip! On a side note, I would probably also be interested in the stories about algae.

I make it a rule to NEVER read the comments. Here's an article that came today via Google Alert : https://www.buzzfeed.com/skarlan/pass-the-cake?utm_term=.khgL6Dekq#.wiy2zyQ9m And here are a few older ones that I found through my google alert : https://www.stuff.co.nz/life-style/love-sex/94172727/asexuality-can-a-relationship-without-sex-work https://www.popsugar.com/news/What-Asexuality-43580587

I looked at the comments on the BuzzFeed article, and it was actually really good! There were a couple idiots, but there were many more aces, ace supporters, and people asking respectful questions to learn more about asexuality. So not all comment sections are bad. Too many of them are though.

Guest Jetsun Milarepa
It's about time we were more visible, it's too easy to blend in and be neglected among sexual people, then be tarred with 'but you've nothing to campaign about'....

Because while is true that Internet can bring the worst in people, it can too sometimes bring the best in people. It depends from where you are looking at.

I think the world just appeared to be much nicer, because you didn't know what was happening around the entire world. Today the freedom speech and access to information is more higher than any time before in the history of humankind, so that's a good thing. But nothing comes as perfect, and while it has his good side, it too has his bad side. And without Worldwide Web, we wouldn't have AVEN
