I'm don't really watch much contemporary TV (pretty much the only thing I watch now are CW DC shows and Last Week Tonight)

I do watch a fair bit of netflix, so add to that:

Star Trek TNG

Breaking Bad

Buffy

Futurama

The West Wing

I can't really pick a favorite, since they all hit different notes for me.

I like to watch many kinds of tv shows. For example The Thick of It and  Game of Thrones. I used other torrents  for searching private trackers where I can download my favorite tv shows. Of course you can find there many other  funny entertainment stuff.

I've been so tired lately thanks to work that TV's kind of fallen by the wayside for me. However, I do have a list of faves:

Doctor Who - from 1963 onward, including books, audios, and comics

Supernatural

Nova

American Experience

M*A*S*H

Kolchak: The Night Stalker

The Real Ghostbusters - cartoon series

Gravity Falls

Babylon-5

Star Trek: TOS

Masterpiece Theater/Masterpiece Mystery still occasionally throws something good into the mix: Poirot, Ms. Marple, Sherlock Holmes (with Jeremy Brett) ...

Ms. Fisher Mysteries

X-Files - if it's on I'll watch

Buffy the Vampire Slayer - ditto

Grimm

Ancient Aliens - when I remember to watch

I also love UFO documentaries and shows about hauntings, etc.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is my probably my favorite show. Something that I find myself really enjoying lately, though, is Crazy Ex-Girlfriend because I love the goofy characters and songs. I've watched all the episodes at least 4 times now (watched it on my own, with my mom once, with a friend, and then just rewatched it in preparation for season 3). I also like Doctor Who, Sherlock, Stranger Things, Bojack Horseman, Gravity Falls, Rick and Morty, to name a few.

Currently re-watching different fiction versions of the Borgia family story, but especially the Showtime and the 1981 version - while reading non-fiction on the subject.

My other favourites include Babylon 5, Twin Peaks, The Mentalist and Downton Abbey. I've also been watching Midsomer Murders, The Bridge and Poirot a lot. Also, Dalziel and Pascoe and Game Of Thrones, but in the case of these two, I prefer the books.

MR ROBOT

Episodes 5, 6, 7 and 8 of the just finished season 3 is the finest drama I have ever seen. Sopranos, The Wire, Breaking Bad, you name it simply does not compare.

Somehow Esmail managed to make the best TV I ever saw with episode 5 and then bettered that with 6, then bettered that with 7. Not satisfied with that hat trick he tops it all off with episode 8. Doubly impressive when episode 8 was a complete break from the ratcheting up of tension throughout 5, 6 and 7 as well as a complete break from what the show is usually about. Seriously, episode 8 is pure movie magic (even if it is a TV episode).

I am still not quite sure how the fuck Esmail pulled the feat off, but boy am I glad he did.
