I never questioned my own heterosexuality--but after going through a divorce, I have spent nearly 27 years single with no sexual relationship and no regrets. In what seems to me to be a sex-obsessed culture, I could not face the prospect of dating with the constant stress of sex being taken for granted whether I wanted that or not. I cannot say that I actually identify as asexual, but I am very drawn to this community. I am looking forward to learning much more and connecting with the members here. Pramana Posted March 26, 2017 Share Posted March 26, 2017 Welcome to the community! You'll find that people join for a variety of reasons, and not everyone identifies as asexual or asexual spectrum. Some people join because they are in relationships with asexuals. Others join because they have lower levels of interest in sex or otherwise find they don't fit into an oversexualized mainstream culture.
