Dudette
"watching porn pretty much rules out asexuality, asexuals don't experience sexual arousal. " I have been in denial all this time?
Anthracite_Impreza
They're wrong, arousal does not specify orientation.

Moophie
Yeah, no. They's not correct. Being asexual doesn't mean you're incapable of feeling aroused. Or even that you don't want to feel aroused sometimes. It means that arousal has nothing to do with desiring sex, as in sex with another person. Or even any level of intimate/physical contact, It's not a complete absence of pleasure from arousal. There are plenty of asexuals who don't experience this, but experiencing it yourself is an indication of absolutely nothing.
Dudette
"some asexuals do think about sex.some asexuals have these sexual fantasies, watching porn, etc. But when it comes to "happy life with a partner" they would picture themselves in this platonic relationship with another person. was this correct what I said? patronusmagic
Sexual attraction is what we don´t experience (usually). Sexual arousal is a thing the body does on its own, without our minds being too involved. Compleatly different thing.

I would say so, yeah. It's important to remember that fantasy and desire are two different things. I think some people forget that which might be why they struggle to understand.
