Guest
I've seen the Girl King movie recently. It's a story of Swedish Queen Christina. Although it focuses on her lesbian relationship with Ebba Brahe, there are lot's of suggestions that she might have been asexual. There is a scene when she tells to Ebba that she knows many things but doesn't know how to kiss her. In the end it's mentioned that she stayed virgin her whole life. I'm not sure if someone have also seen this movie?
Diamond Ace of Hearts
I haven't seen it, because I never knew it existed, but I would quite like to watch it now that I know about it.
six-or-one
It's a very good film, one of my favourites from 2015.

A Different Mononoke
I saw it, I think she is more lesbian than asexual from the hints of sexual relationship they had in the film though that may not relate to the real life Queen (who did apparently die a virgin and buried in the Vatican). There is mentioned she died as virgin in the end of the movie. There is a scene when she is laying in bed with Ebba when she tells that she knows how to do many things but doesn't'\t know how to love her ( I mentioned it in my first post). sophy38
In the version of 1933 "Queen Christina" directed by Rouben Mamoulian, she was portrayed as a woman who is manly, she fall in love with the ambassador of Spain but they never marry. I think depend on the time, the directors decide how to portray a virgin queen! In 1933 the love story that the lover dies at the end, was popular and in 2015 a lesbian love is attractive! Any way in history she was a virgin. May be she never had the chance to marry the right man, may be she sacrificed herself for the safety of her country or maybe she was a lesbian or asexual. scarletlatitude
Because there isn't really a link here for an asexual related story, I'm going to move this to the Musings and Rantings forum scarletlatitude World Watch mod
