In what ways does your asexuality shape how you see the world?

Recommended Posts

I don't see attractiveness in guys unless they have a personality I'm romantically attracted to. I have to find some meaning or purpose behind something to appreciate it entirely, like for decor, art, clothing and stuff. I think it makes me more logical and practical. More focused too i think than other girls around my age, since I don't have relationships and guys requiring my time and attention. Sexual things usually bore or gross me out a lot. Um...pretty much that.

I look back at all the time and energy I put into finding a partner and realized I could have learned a musical instrument, renovated my house, received a masters degree. I now have the time and energy to make the world a better place.

I think sex is overrated, over-complicated and over-exposed.

Being sexual is typical, but people have an issue understanding or even accepting asexuality - which is atypical - but not abnormal.

However, I still have desire for human connection on an emotional level...
