Some people have mentioned Tommy Edison, whose videos led me to Molly Burke (another blind YouTuber). They're both charismatic and genuine, and it's interesting to hear them talk about life as blind people in a sighted world. They're not the main attraction for me, though! Instead: I love ASMR videos; they're super relaxing and they help me sleep when I'm stressed. My favorite ASMRtists are WhispersRed and GentleWhispering. Another standout is PsycheTruth, who makes great hair-brushing videos. What's life without a little pimple-popping? I like to watch Dr. Sandra Lee and Josefa Reina work wonders on their patients' skin. James Townsend and Son, a company that sells historical reenacting gear, has a great series on 18th century cooking. They make a new recipe each week using period equipment and explain the historical significance of each dish along the way. It sounds weird, but it's really well done and presents history in a more approachable light for people who don't like keeping track of dates and politics. Justine Leconte works as a fashion designer and does fashion advice videos. She's not your typical fashion YouTuber showing off shopping hauls; her posts are always thoughtful and show a strong knowledge of the inner workings of the industry. I just realized that I only have a year of college left before I have to dress like a grown-up, and Justine's videos have given me some good ideas about how to pull off that wardrobe transition.
