As many of you know, Asexual Awareness Week was started in 2010 by Sara Beth Brooks to spread knowledge and awareness of asexuality. [*] Intersex Awareness Day, 26 October, occurs in the middle of AAW this year. Although intersexuality and asexuality are different from each other, both often get left out of mainstream LGBTQ+ discourse, so we thought it would be a great showing of solidarity to promote IAD.
