TheOrangeOmnivore
Okay so I've been off and on questioning the ace spectrum for a while now and I'm really not sure where I might fall.I don't think that I experience sexual attraction, but the idea of it is still very confusing to me as I'm not sure what makes it "sexual" as opposed to just asthetic "I think that person looks nice" attractionI would be fine with being in a relationship without sex in it, in fact I'm pretty sure I'd prefer it, but at the same time I know that it's something I want to experience at some point in my life, even if its just once. [TMI]I watch and enjoy porn/masturbation but I only get turned on by people in porn or other related media, and anything related to anyone I know in real life, even crushes, is completely non sexual. I have had fantasies before related to sex, but not really with anyone I specifically knew, and in the one instance it did happen there wasn't any sex involved, it was more about the build up and then nothing ended up happening.[/TMI]Anyways, I hope this makes sense to people and I can get some clarification, I know I'm not full ace but I'm looking to see if this fits any part of the gray ace area
Starlit Sky
1) Your picture looks delicious. 2) I'm not sure what makes it "sexual" as opposed to just asthetic "I think that person looks nice" attraction What makes it different is that in sexual attraction, you will have a desire to have sex with that person . . . or, to put it better, that desire will be more like an, "if things to a certain way, and we're both up for it, yeah, I'd like to have sex with you" kind of thing. Hopefully that makes sense! TMI Anyway, that makes me wonder: when you say that you get turned on by people in porn, do you seriously mean that you get turned on by *people*, or are you getting turned on by the things that they're doing, perhaps the thought of it happening to you? Thanks for clearing up the sexual attraction bit, I think it makes the most sense out of anything I've read, and its definitely not something I experience. TMI For the porn aspect, I know that there is no thought of anything I'm watching happening to me, its just arousing to look at
JAKQ7111
Have you heard of the term "autochorissexual"? That's a label under the grey-asexual umbrella that essentially means that you may enjoy porn/erotic material, it in no way translates into a desire to engage in erotic/sexual activity yourself.
