Scared
I've always been a rather picky eater, which is way i usually decline dinner party type invitations, there will ALWAYS be some ingredient i don't like(Mushrooms, why are they in everything?). That being said i'm trying to get better. I still don't eat beef, but it's not for any particular reason other than i don't feel like? Pork is okay, i actually don't care for bacon, but i love ground pork sausages. My go to would be chicken or fish(But not sushi/Sashimi...).
AwkwardAxolotl
I'm mostly vegetarian, I never really liked the taste of most meats. I'll occasionally eat fresh-caught seafood (I live right on the coast), but that's about it
Rhyme
In my heart, I think that being vegan is the way to go, but I don't have the willpower to do it. I'm a super picky eater, so I don't think I'd get any protein at all if I cut meat from my diet. I'll be working on cutting down on my consumption of animal products when I move out in three months, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to.
orangecat
Prefer Veggies and eggs more than meat but I still eat meat only when I am at restaurant. Because I suck at cooking meat...everytime I cook any meat they have fiber like texture worse than chewing woods... Still tho doesn't like the idea of mass produce so trying to eat less meat unless organic.
birdybudge
I've been an ovo-vegetarian (no meat, fish or dairy) for just over a year now. Before that, I was semi-veggie for over a decade (meat or fish just once or twice a week). I still eat eggs, but I can see a point in the not too distant future where I cut those out too and go fully vegan. Ethically it's just the right choice to make. I love eggs, though, so it's hard. I'm getting there. Exploring new foods and ingredients has been the best fun this past year!
Famethyst
As a kid I thought I could never go vegetarian. I was super into grilling and loved meat. Then when I started college I learned about the environmental impacts that agriculture and our diets have and decided to go Pescatarian. Now I actually enjoy not eating meat, and I think it would be hard to go back.
Apathetic Echidna
Whenever I have a dinner party I always ask whether people are allergic, religious, conscientious, vegetarian or vegan. That always seems to cover everything. I am conscientious, I don't eat hard hooved animals because gas and erosion. I do eat lamb (because yum) and wild goat (yum, and to support the hunters who are ridding our country of the destructive feral pest. I don't eat farmed goat). All the meat I buy I try to source from farm butchers. Luckily I live near 2, and I holiday near one that does farm slaughter as well, so no hours of being stuffed in a crowded truck in the heat for those animals.
Just Me!
I don't eat red meat, beef- anything from ruminants- because of environmental concerns. The methane emitted from those animals is one of the primary sources of global warming. I won't eat anything that's not ethically sourced, free range etc. I have been known to take vegetarian options at events because those are always better. ("Plain sausage or rosemary and onion alternative, anyone?")
Guest Invisible Pumpkin
I'm surprised, I though most asexuals were veggies.
Sea Lemon
Omnivore, although I'm really picky when it comes to meat, and I tend to prefer meat substitutes like quorn when I'm cooking for myself.
arekathevampyre
I eat eggs and chicken/fish (hardly) . I limit my intake of pork (because I am not really supposed to eat too much red meat because of health reasons) . I do not eat lamb/goat/"exotic" meats . I have quit eating shark fin soup and bird's nest many years ago . (not considered meat but just felt that there is a need to mention) . I quit eating beef a few years ago after getting addicted eating steaks (lol ridiculous I know)
Lilsi
I do eat meat, and i'll try most things. I won't eat some fish due to the taste being too strong. However i eat more fruit and veg than i do meat and i'm not fussed if a meal does not have meat in it. If i am eating out with a vegetarian i'll order a veggie meal.
Samby
I became vegetarian last September and was primarily influenced by my friend who at the time was vegan (she found this lifestyle difficult to maintain, especially when eating out, so she went back to being veggie). I figured if she could do that then surely I could manage being a vegetarian? It also helped that apart from sausages and chicken nuggets, at uni I ate only veggie foods therefore I'd kind of kick started the process there and not gone cold turkey. It also means I feel no guilt now when I see animals on screen as I don't have to think 'I eat that'. While some meat substitutes aren't fantastic I think there are enough out there to really help you adjust and I'd totally recommend meat eaters to see if they could just manage a month without it to see what it's like
Nirnroot
I refuse to eat flesh of other animals. So no meat or fish. But eggs and milk are okay.
Yatogami
You forgot the carnivore option. I am an Omnivore, but I don't eat that much meat. I prefer seafood if I do. I have gone vegetarian to give it a go, but it doesn't suit my active life style.
Aarineko
I started eating nearly vegetarian these past months ... Mostly because I don't like the taste anymore ... the problem is that I don't like beans and such and I still need to get proteins... I like falafels but yet won't be able to eat it everyday I still like fish and a bit of chicken though ... I'll be leaving by myself starting tonight and for the next 5 months so I won't need to eat meats served by my mom at dinner (good thing my brother is a carnivore and don't mind taking my meat )

(As long as they're tested often for bacteria/parasites.) They would solve a lot of our food issues. Not to mention that they're pretty tasty as snacks. And high in nutrients. But I've read that people who have allergies to shellfish may also have insect allergies. So it may not be a viable option for everyone. Edit: Found some cricket protein powder. Jea
I voted omnivore but the term flexitarian is the one that fits my eating habits most. For instance, the last time I ate any kind of meat was about 10 days ago. I don't have principles to never eat meat. I just don't care for it much (and I don't have the money to buy a lot of it, unless I resort to buying meat from the supermarket, which is a no-no) but when I eat out or from someone else's cooking than mine, I enjoy the occasional piece of meat or fish. Of course what I find very important is that when you decide you won't eat meat because you don't want animals hurt, you also have to boycott as much from Monsanto, Bayer, Nestle etc. Which I do. Eating almonds from California is supporting the companies using the pesticides that decimates bees. Eating only organic food is extremely expensive and not what I recommend, I just think being a vegetarian / vegans and buying processed food that has flown by plane, contains tons of salt and pesticides, and judging non-vegans for being cruel is a high level of hypocrisy. There are different ways of hurting animals, eating them is no worse than decimating them through pesticides. As always, I value balance.
tomboy4life
Im an omnivore, but I very rarely eat meat. Like twice a month at most. I dont like it, unless Im really craving it(iron deficiency) and its too expensive for me.

I think the taboo against eating insects is kind of odd considering everything else people eat.
