I want to be sexual

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I haven't used this account in a long time but I am really hoping to get some advice today. Sorry that this is a fairly long post, but I really hope you'll read it and maybe offer some advice. I have identified as ace off and on for like 3 or so years now. I thought that my fiancé had sort of "cured" me, for lack of a better word, because when we first started dating we were having sex once a day, maybe even twice some days. This lasted for a week or two and it didn't hurt to have sex. At the time I had a strong kink for tummies and he fit my kink and I think that's what might have made a difference. After that it just got less and less often that we would have sex, going from a few times a week, once a week, once every few weeks, now sometimes we can go over a month without. I used to feel sexual attraction to having my neck kissed or having my thighs touched, but now even my kink doesn't do anything. I feel nothing. Sex is painful. I want so badly to have sex and to connect and to make him happy but I am scared my desires won't come back. I don't know what to do... I tried one brand of supplements but they don't seem to do much and they give me awful heartburn. I don't know if I should keep trying supplements or if I should seek counseling or what... I want so badly to be a sexual person and to please my fiancé, who is a sexual person. I just don't know how to fix this problem. Does anyone have any tips or advice? I could really use it...

In this case, I can see why you want to be sexual. In my case, I don't want to be sexual again. I'm glad my sexuality died.

Well, if you want to or feel the urge to have sex, then you are not asexual. But it still doesnt solve your problem!

Can you talk to your doctor about this? There are some medications on the market for increasing libido / arousal, I think, and there are sex therapists out there. There are also conditions that cause pain during sex. If you want to have sex, and when it was feeling good it was really good and you wanted more sexual contact, you don't sound asexual. You sound heterosexual with some sort of condition impairing your sex life. I hope you and your doctor can find out what it is and how to treat it.
