Second time today I hear news about the AfD that makes me wonder why we can't just change the constitution to either kick all voters of that party out of the country summarily, or lock them up somewhere together behind a big fat wall and throw away the key for the gate. (Kidding. Mostly. YES, even proto-fascist asswipes do deserve human rights, and YES, the parts of our constitution that forbid that are awesome, and HECK YES. the AfD sucks because they don't see how awesome it is.) Now the times changed and the world is not the same. We can't turn back time unless we have time machine. Yeah, in the past people weren't aware that there is more than 2 genders but now science showed it and we should accept it. I'm not sure if AfD bases on any Christian values because Jesus was teaching that everybody should be respected and follow His path, no matter if he/she is gay, straight or ace. People are sick of all these identity's and the way it has been allowed to trump others rights. He had every right to speak his point of view and if we want the same rights we have to give them to others as well. Otherwise we are in the wrong. Its not like what he said physically hurt or threatened anybody. Free speech and opinion is a human right. Many of you guys wanted this kind of recognition and attention and he gave it to you on a silver platter. Why are you even complaining? You got what you want. In reality my teachers were so sick of the topic that they showed us a couple of movies and then moved on to another topic as soon as possible. There weren't any discussions except for the "question of guilt". In one subject the teacher gave us a text to read as homework and didn't even talk about it on the next day. There is no way anyone can claim he has directly spoken against any LGBT+ group, because all he's actually done is greet them. In reality he's mocking something that doesn't really exist, perhaps a faint caricature of SJWs, but nobody is proposing to pass laws requiring people to mention every conceivable gender and sexuality. It's so very clever...he knows nobody can touch him for this and yet he has effectively managed to get away with attacking the community without actually doing it. Machiavellian. Not left parties changed it but scientific discoveries. In addition author states that AfD supports Christian values! Our Catholic church behaves just like before Vaticanum II ( of course not all are like this but the most visible groups are very conservative). Poles use to declare themselves as Roman Catholics and Christians but in fact they don't act like this :( Conservatists use to call themselves 'defenders of Christianity' but their ideas hasn't anything with common. Christianity is respecting other people. Jesus didn't say we should mock from others . Meanwhile AfD just tells that emigrants, refugees, LGBTQ people are bad. This. I wonder what they do if all immigrants leave the country by tomorrow and Germany announces to leave the Euro. That's basically everything they talk about. Even more crazy: They get a lot of their support by the average Joe who feels left behind by the actions of other parties in the government (maybe rightly so)... BUT when you look at their programmes, they don't give a hamster's ass about average Joes. To me those supporters are sheep running for cover in the slaughterhouse. @ Gender mocking: There's a saying we have over here. "The oak doesn't care if a pig rubs it's neck against it." The average mortal is likely to throw up their hands and give up and I don't blame them and I'm a gender minority myself. I thought one of the benefits of having a label was to make it easier for other people to understand (so we dont have to spend an hour or two explaining ourselves every time). but when there are so many and the differences are so nuanced, this is making it harder for people. Facebook + yahoo vs. google?) so this is more about Facebook's politics than anything else really. By the way: aces aren't part of that list. At least not of the original one. However that list is massively outdated anyway as there are probably millions of different genders on nonbinary.org. already ;) To be honest: anybody taking 14 year-old tumblr-trolls seriously can't be helped. I personally knew a guy in school who was pretty damn intelligent and well-learned in history... and still identified as a "modern national socialist". I can't fathom it, but yeah, these guys exist, too. And may possibly be the most dangerous of the bunch, even more so than head-shorn footsoldier thugs in white-tied combat boots.
