I found this link on Facebook this morning via The Daily Mail.

Whilst Saira Khan doesn't state that she's asexual, I thought you all might like to see.

To me, it doesn't seem like she is asexual. I think she has just got a low libido. It sounds like she found him sexually attractive before, but with no sex drive she has no interest in acting upon it anymore. Interesting story though.

She was back on the show today with her husband.. and she said it was incredible that she had thousands of people emailing her telling her they felt the same. Asexual or not, it is great to challenge society's obsession with sex and to speak out against it. By her talking about it on loose women it brought comfort to lots of others who don't see the big deal so I think it's a great thing :)

Hmm. I can't help but feel this story is mostly a voyeuristic excuse to talk about sex to titillate most of the Daily Fail's readers. If she'd said she always had little interest in sex I might consider asexuality, but I don't think that's what is happening here. Does she even know asexuality is a thing?

Given the her age, it might be pre-menopause or a medical condition that caused her to lose the desire for sex.

Just because someone was sexual doesn't mean one can't be asexual. In fact, sexual to asexual is the most likely changes in sexuality if it were to happen following brain changes. Why? Parts of the neural network dying or is dead. My former sexuality has been dead for 6+ years. I dont see it back just because some part of my neural network is probably good as dead.

Nah, she's not asexual. She's just slowing down after having kids etc. It's very common with women in their 40s and 50s and is most likely hormone related.
