Pen Given Ink
Yes. It's a very good stress reliever for me. It literally helps me put whatever is on my mind out of my mind.
RK800
I keep a digital dream journal and a sort of religious journal but nothing else. I'd rather not write things down that could put me in prison.
Truth and Lies
My journal is more of a "daily activity record" than emotions and thoughts. It's one habit I have always wanted to pick up, but couldn't because I'd always put it off and then have an entire essay to write to catch up on what has happened since the last entry. I've written rather short entries every day for a month or two now, and I occasionally have moments where I want to explore deeper thoughts and ponderings, but those are few and far between. I wish I had picked this habit up before my trip to Ireland last summer, which I failed to put down and now have to go off of basic outlines of what happened instead of emotions, thoughts, and experiences in the here and now. -_- Ah well, c'est la vie. I have a horrid memory, so it's habits like these that I do want to keep, so I can look back a year from now and actually recall what I'd done. Most of my childhood memories are gone and forever lost in the abyss that is my mind. Regardless, it's interesting occasionally looking back and seeing the lack of progress I have made since then. DannyFenton123
No. It's more trouble than it''s worth for me.

SylviaDragon
I did for a little bit when I was about fourteen. Then I found out my parents were not only reading it, but making copies of it and printing out pages to study and highlight. Deleted it and have not kept one since. Nope! Nope! Nope! I have tried to keep a dream journal from time to time since I have some awesome dreams but alas- my memory is poor and i forget to write when I wake up.
Grumpy Alien
No. I tried when I was younger but I didn't trust my family (and rightfully so) not to read it. Now, I just don't see the point - AVEN acts like a diary for me in some ways.
AlwaysADreamer
I journal off and on, usually when I have a lot on my mind and need to get some of the thoughts out.
FOXracingfan
No I don't. I just don't have the attention span for it. I also hate writing about myself so that may be part of it. The only journal I kept up on and wrote in almost daily was when I was keeping a travel journal while I was in Italy, so I would actually have a written copy of everything I got to do there. Seraphina Willow
I've kept a journal on and off throughout my life, but only just decided to start again ta few months ago. I am so glad I made the decision, it has allowed me to express feelings and dreams that I could never talk about with anyone. I feel so much calmer and more in control of my emotions. I try not to write about trivial nonsense though, as it would just annoy me, and I would give up.
- - -
i used to have a livejournal years ago (late teens/early 20s) but it started to feel pointless so i deleted my account
Grace Barton
I had a diary I used to write in now and then as a kid, but the only year I kept a daily diary for was 1999. After that I couldn't be bothered. I've tried several times since but I have nothing to write in it. My days is always, 'I got up, I went to work, I came home, I listened to music, I went to bed'. What else is there for me to say? It's usually recommended to keep a journal to help with things like anxiety and depression, but I just can't be bothered. On this I have too much to say, my thoughts are too erratic to pen down, and I simply can't be bothered with the effort of trying to put my mind onto a page. I barely write a sentence before I lose interest. How weird is it that I have such little interest in my own thoughts that I can't be bothered to put them down onto paper? Geoff
Very erratically, but yes, I keep one. It's been a couple of months since I've written in it, but I still know exactly where it is.
