Do you trust the "Admods"?

The only problem is DEFINITELY a lack of jelly babies, here I fixed it:

I like our admods. I wish the system made it a little easier to get help from them when you are a newbie and don't know who to speak to, but other than that (and the jelly babies). They do a great job of keeping the forums clean and nice, and of squashing the pesky squirrel invasions. Also of spambot extermination. I also appreciate the fact that they volunteer their time so that we can have a functioning community!

The problem is that the staff has always done it and that some people are super creative in theyre so called "im so innocent and the staff sucks" thing. Believe me i have seen people putting alot of effort in one single thread just because they didnt agree with a staff including quoting staff members to get them in theyre threads and then im talking about simple things like a warning or a 3 day ban.

The whinese people speak these days about the staff dont bother me anymore because i too have been there when i was an assistant mod on another site, always the same people who whine about the same things when you do they disagree with, its really getting old after a while because not everyone will be happy with some of the decisions you will have to make.The best thing you can do is just ignore the drama and dont let it get to you because it doesnt get you any further if you are annoyed because thats what they are trying to achieve with these things.

Things like these will always happen so just read, laugh and move on.

Moderators and admins have sometimes to take decisions that make them unpopular, but often for the greater good. And they aren't perfect. As soon as you aren't 100% perfect and / or you have to take hard decisions, a lot of people will automatically hate you. That's life.

In case you don't know, "admods" is an AVEN term for the admins and moderators.

Something has been bothering me for a while now and that is to do with the admods. I've noticed quite a few expressing their distrust or lack of faith in the admods over the years. This is bound to ruffle a few feathers, but people should be allowed to openly criticise the administrations. Just keep it civilised or else this thread could get exterminated and I'd be one very unhappy stabby huggy insane person.

Like on so many other forums, I seem to live in a parallel world where mods and admins are great people. I honestly never notice the problems other people seem to have with them, and I'm not sure if it's social ignorance on my or overreaction on their part.

Admods are only dangerous if you disturb them during hibernation. When you are walking near known admod nesting spots, stamp your feet loudly so they are not startled by your approach. If you are keeping one as a pet, remember to feed your domesticated admod cake on a regular basis, or it may become prone to irritability, and deliberately start knocking objects off shelves

They seem pretty trustworthy in general, but I have fears they may be representing a secret underground nation of humorless rock mutants whose mission it is to enslave humanity.

In all seriousness, this forums seems well-run to me, and I've seen nothing to complain about. My general opinion of admins and moderators is that they're people doing a volunteer job, and if the forum seems to be friendly and operating smoothly, they're probably doing that job well. I've moderated several smaller forums in the past and been an admin on one or two, and it was often stressful even at that, so I tend to if anything respect the moderating teams of larger forums for having more patience and fortitude than I.

I would like to see a comprehensive thesis about how Team Rocket is better than Admods
