Guest
Confession: I have never seen American Sniper. Me neither... I just know about the scene with the ridiculously fake "baby", a special effects failure big enough to ruin the tone of the movie for many viewers.

ThaHoward
Confession: I have never seen American Sniper. They just have an entire seen dedicated to that specific dilemma :p (which also set the whole premiss for the main character) Confession: I have never seen American Sniper. Me neither... I just know about the scene with the ridiculously fake "baby", a special effects failure big enough to ruin the tone of the movie for many viewers. Never thought about the baby. Think it is good as it higlight some ethical dilemmas in war, and how it is to return for veterans (both in terms of mental and physical damages).
Sisky
That's right. The only context in which terrible special effects actually contribute to the mood are, after all, old Star Trek episodes. :) And old Godzilla movies. :) If you want to call those "special effects" anyway.
