Qwerty321
For me, an attraction is when someone causes sexual foughts or feelings in another person, and desire is just when someone wants to make any sexual activity (not nesessary partnered). Frigid Pink
For me, an attraction is when someone causes sexual foughts or feelings in another person, and desire is just when someone wants to make any sexual activity (not nesessary partnered). So, based on this, it seems attraction requires a specific person and desire is generally directionless, although it can be directed at a specific someone if there's also attraction for that specific person. I think that makes sense to me. I desire a romantic relationship even when I'm not in one or not romantically attracted to anyone, therefore, my desire is there and directionless. However, I can have a desire for a romantic relationship with a specific person (directed and not directionless) once I have romantic feelings (or experience "romantic attraction") for them. I can also have romantic feelings (or "romantic attraction") for a specific someone and not desire a romantic relationship with that specific person (although I still desire a romantic relationship in the general sense), however, it's my choice to act on those feelings and not my choice to feel those feelings in the first place. I'm not sure if that's what's being discussed here, however, that's the best I can follow this train of thought at the moment.

I think I can see how "attraction" and "desire" are different now.
