True Or False

Recommended Posts

False! Libido and sexual attraction (to other people) are two completely separate things. There certainly are asexual people that don't like to masturbate, but that isn't causation. There are tons of (allosexual) people that don't like to masturbate for a number of reasons. So, you might be asexual, but I don't think an aversion to masturbating is an accurate judge for that.

I would have to say false, because asexuality is generally defined as a lack of or rarely experiencing sexual attraction to others, and weather you like masturbaing or not doesn't indicate how you experience sexual attraction.

I define "asexuality" as "no desire for partnered sex." Other possible definitions are "an enduring lack of sexual desire for others" as well as "an enduring lack of sexual inclinations/feelings towards others." Basically, an "asexual" person isn't drawn towards sexual interaction with others. Beyond that, it varies from person to person, regardless of sexual orientation. Many people seem to equate "asexuality" with things that have more to do with personality traits (such as introversion) or general interests and preferences (such as aversion to touch or dislike of kisses), which even "sexual" people can have and share (some "sexual" people don't like to hold hands or don't have "sex dreams" and so on).

Gonna have to go with false.

Such an action, at least to my knowledge, has little to do with orientation.

False! As people said above, asexuality is a lack of desire for partnered sex. Masturbation has more to do with libido :P

I would say false! There are asexuals who do not enjoy masturbating (myself included!), but it varies from person to person. There are asexuals here who do enjoy masturbation, and sexuals who for what ever reason don't enjoy masturbation. As a few others have already said, masturbation has to do with the libido or sex drive a person has, while asexuality deals exclusively with the attraction you feel for other people. The two things can be related, but they don't always have to be. :cake:
