Is anyone else curious about being in a relationship but don't particularly want to be in one? Idk if this makes any sense... But I kinda just want to know what being in a relationship (romantic or QP) is like first hand... but at the same time, I'm not all that interested in being in one myself (or at least, I don't have the emotional energy to be in one)- like if first-hand relationship experience could be just downloaded into my brain, that'd be great. Sometimes I feel like I want to experiment how a relationship feels like, but then I think of all the implications of having a significant other to take care off and I get kinda nervious and all like "ughh too much work for me". Lord Jade Cross Posted September 4, 2015 Share Posted September 4, 2015 Hmm, well from the very little closest possible thing to a relationship experience Ive had, a relationship is sort of similar to a friendship depending on who sees it. Some people say that a relationship is a deeper form of friendship, others say that a friendship is essentially a relationship. (I think there was a thread that discussed the disputes of this). The, Im guessing separating factor is its exclusivity? And even then this wouldnt be a universal rule. I do remember becoming worried about the concept of the line where "friendship" VS "relationship" was drawn. Sorry this isnt much help. Im not particularly knowledgeable in this field.
