I've never managed to pull off a science victory. I usually loose before the Modern era or win by a Dominion or Cultural victory. I'd like to try it, though! :D Link to post Share on other sites
daveb Posted September 10, 2015 Share Posted September 10, 2015 I went to try to play Civ IV this evening, but it won't start. It gets to the start up window, but then just goes away when it would normally start the intro. I think a recent Windows update broke it. Apparently some of the Windows 10 is being ported back to Windows 8 and Windows 7. I tried uninstalling a couple of the updates, but so far still no Civ. I might have to roll back all the updates, or hope someone else knows why it broke and knows of a fix. :( I'm ticked off at MS now. Link to post Share on other sites

Guest Posted September 11, 2015 Share Posted September 11, 2015 I always went for cultural in "vanilla" Civ 4 BTS... and found it by far the easiest to achieve, in fact. (Corporations are your friend - found Sid's Sushi, Civ Jewelers, and CreCon and spread them all through your empire, but not into foreign countires. If you have any chance at all to do so, then make absolutely sure you have a Trader, an Engi, and an Artist in reserve when you hit the tech you can found them. ^_^ ) Link to post Share on other sites
