rtlloyd98
Reading the definition, I don't think I'm eligible. It's not that I don't like sex.... it's the simple fact that I don't care. I'd much rather play cricket or watch Lord of the Rings or read Physics papers than think or do sex-stuff or think about the attractiveness of others. Do I count or am I just naive and lazy? Is there another term for what I am?
Pengwyn
Asexuals do not need to hate or be disgusted by sex, many even have sex with allosexual partners. All that being asexual means is that you do not feel sexual attraction to anyone.
Lost247365
Not having the desire for sex is one of the definitions of asexuality. How you identify is up to you though. If you don't feel asexuality is a good fit, then you should identify the way you feel is right.
Tarfeather
It's not that I don't like sex.... it's the simple fact that I don't care. But if you don't care, you don't want it, right? Wanting something implies caring about it as far as I'm concerned.
Blue Phoenix Ace
You might consider grey asexual if you feel you are somewhere in between.
deltaX
Not caring about sex isn't always important to whether or not you are asexual. Asexuality is defined as a lack of sexual attraction and/or a lack of desire for partnered sex. If you feel that one of those definitions fits than you're free to call yourself asexual, regardless of how you feel about sex itself. In addition, like DJ Ace said, asexuality is a spectrum, and if you feel like you don't quite fit the definition of asexual, there are always terms like grey-ace that you could look into. Member54880
It's possible that you could be asexual; asexuality is simply having no sexual attraction, or no desire for sex with others. Attitudes towards sex can vary, and there are different labels for them, from being repulsed by sex under most or all circumstances (sex-repulsed), to being indifferent towards it (sex-indifferent), to enjoying, and being favorable to it under some circumstances (sex-favorable).
