Most/least attractive cars?

The Lamborghini Miura will always be my ideal of a car with the most visual appeal. It's a shame The Powers That Be at Lamborghini have said they're not going to come out with a redesigned Miura---its chassis design would make it a candidate for an ass-kicking EV.

The Chevy Corvair Lakewood wagon (there are still a few around) has, I think, a more feminine aesthetic than any other car, while the 1984 Maserati Quattroporte has the most masculine aesthetic.

The Porsche 924/928/944's just looked downright screwy with their headlights aimed zombie-like at the sky and their big rounded rear ends. The Pontiac Aztek was just plain ugly, more of an automotive frankenstein monster than anything else.

There has never, TTBOMK, been a car named the Panache... maybe because doing so would be setting the bar pretty high. The Lamborghini Miura, Corvair Lakewood and Monza, Porsche Cayman, Tesla S, Volvo P1800, and Porsche Panamera all have that indefinable aesthetic called panache. The Pontiac Aztek, Porsche 924/928/944, and Chevy Camaro, OTOH, sadly have no panache.

Well, opinions are subjective, but I agree the Porsches look screwy. My personal preference is sleek, wide, angled...I kind of like the 1970s/1980s retro look (I don't care if that makes people think I'm nuts.)

I once had a 1992 Corvette. Fun to drive, but to me that's also just a gorgeous car to look at. Wish I still had it.

I'm not gonna go into the attractive cars right now, but I know which is the least attractive to me.

It's the Nissan sunny B11 series from the 80's. I had one and for me It was the most boring car you could ever have. It's just a metal box with a engine.

I like the Dodge Challenger and think they hit the retro look dead center. Not to mention there are a lot of them on the roads around here. No hater comments please. ty

I do not like PT Cruisers, however. They are such ugly cars, and I would caught dead riding in one. :P

the Land Rover series 1, 1948 model, 80" wheelbase, for me would be my ultimate dream car, permanent 4wd, cumbersome, basic, slow, just as an old practical vehicle should be, I've owned many Land Rovers, the series 1, for me is the ultimate vehicle.

the worst end of the market, apart from the early 500's, I would have to say anything Fiat, the Ford KA (how drunk was the person that designed that rusty peice of tin & plastic?), anything Renault, let alone the unreliability, what ugly cars they produced, BMW, interiors look the same, they're all bland & 99.9% of their drivers are prize k**b jockeys

As far as road cars go, the Lamborghini Veneno (although the Aventador J was certainly something as well), the Ferrari LaFerrari, and the McLaren P1 are my top favourites in terms of style -- although the rest of the cars made by those manufacturers are also very striking. The new Ford GT is looking pretty sweet, too. I tend to favour aggressively styled cars, preferably with a slightly otherwordly look to them. In the line of cars that I could maybe someday ever hope to actually own, I'm quite fond of some Corvettes (Stingrays, both old and new), and Mustangs -- especially the newest models -- are also rather nice.

If we're throwing it all wide open and including racing vehicles as well as road vehicles, I'd go with this current generation of F1 cars. Some people don't like them as much, I know, but to me they're the coolest looking yet.

My least favourite cars are hard to determine, because it's a broad category of cars that all look quite similar to each other. I like the ones that stand out. Even the ones that stand out in a bad way are better than the ones that just blend into the crowd on the street, to me. I've never yet seen an SUV, minivan, or van that didn't look boring.

Ha ha... the Russians nicknamed their UAZ-452 utility van "bukhanka" (= bread roll), but IMO it's the Toyota Previa minivan that looks like an artisan bread loaf on wheels.

I wonder if anyone has ever made a fiberglass bread loaf body for a van? There's a wrecked phone van and a shoe car in a junkyard a few miles from my house.

Asexiest stock car of all time, just sayin'.

Tbh, as a tuner, my favourite look is modified cars - spoilers, slammed, aggressive body kits... I also prefer boxy, aggressively styled designs, but sometimes cute is nice too ;)

Imprezas are my favourite cars ever of course; my two favourite years:

The newer Beemers and Mercs are right up my alleyway; in fact a lot of the newer designs have the look I like, which makes a nice change because I've disliked new car designs for a loooong time.

Oh and yeah:

Funny--I liked PT Cruisers from the start! I'm certainly no authority on automotive topics; I don't even drive. It's mere esthetics, I suppose. My brother, who once drove test cars, had a few good things to say about the model but complained that it was underpowered--at least if it didn't come with the turbocharger option. Possibly it attracts me because of a similarity to certain 1930s-era cars. (As a kid I liked my purple Hot Wheelsâ„¢ 1936 Ford coupe.)

The Nissan Leaf I bought early last summer has only cost me about $30 in electricity since... unfortunately, I think its exterior looks rather porcine, with its boxy body and snout-like front charge port door... OTOH if I own a car that looks like a pig, does that mean I've got the finest road hog in the world?

There are cars with uglier front ends, however. The Edsels' grilles were notoriously ugly, and many rude remarks were made about them... the Smart's front reminds me of an evil grinning clown, and so does the Fisker Karma... one late 1950s DeSoto's front end reminded me of an angry ice hockey player.

Recently, I'm liking the Aventador and I think the BMW i8 has potential depending on the colour. Honourable mention to Maserati, but I think they lack the total package of aesthetics. I never liked PT Cruisers, 1 series BMWs, Panameras, and probably a whole bunch of others.

I've never sat inside a PT cruiser or driven one, and I don't find them particularly ugly... my biggest gripe about them is the crammed engine compartment, you need to have small hands and ribbon-like arms to work on the damn thing.

I'm in love with cars from this era. This is the Cortina 2000E that starred in Life On Mars.

I like old-fashioned looking cars the most. :D The early ones through to '60s, including some from after. A few handsome modern ones about, too.
