QueenOfSpades Posted July 10, 2015 Share Posted July 10, 2015 I've been skimming through the internet and have been looking at some content that my folks may think is inappropriate that doesn't involve in anyway involve with sex or nudity. I know this may sound kinda dumb, but I don't know if I was watching porn or not. I used to think that porn was media involving sex. But, I've been looking around the internet for a clear definition for porn. The websites I went to gave me definitions that don't involve with sex. That's where I got confused. So can somebody give me a clear definition for what "porn" is? PS When is it porn when somebody is not nude and it does not involve sex. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
Curious Decay Posted July 10, 2015 Share Posted July 10, 2015 Depends on the definition. One would think porn is the act of sex in media which is made to elicit sexual excitement. But, this word could also be used to define just about any situation in media that is sensual in nature made to elicit said sexual excitement, which might be what your parents where referring to, in the end it would appear to be mere semantics. I think that there is a difference between erotic and pornographic, in the way that I would qualify what you describe of erotic rather than pornographic.
