sexual fantasies in an asexy world?

Hey all,

I wanted to bring this up and see what people think about this. I definitely identify as either very gray-A or maybe just asexual. However, I am not sex-repulsed and experience a low libido. I don't mind sex, but kind of need to get my body going before I can actually deal with it.

Often times, I have fantasies involving sex or sexual acts with an individual that I know well and am close friends with. Sometimes these fantasies involve kinks, and sometimes not. However, when actually it really comes down to it (ex. actually taking photos, videos, following through on sex or sexual activities, etc), I just get really bored and all I can think of "can we just get this done and over with? Do I really have to do this?"

In other words…the only time the fantasy is appealing to me is if it is impossible to follow through on it.

Is there a word to describe this sort of thing? I'm still getting used to terms used on the forum.

EDIT: Actually, I shouldn't' say "often" because I don't experience this type of fantasy that often. It happens once in a while.

I don't know of a term for it; I don't know if there is, but I know it's rather common in aces, so don't sweat it ^ ^

In my experience with my own set of fantasies, they by pass the act of sex at all. Mine have focused on the need to release in other areas, whether it’s with a partner or not, and whether that just often, or rarely at all. I’ve never been keen on sex itself, or being in a bed nude with a partner with the attention of.
