Using Red Hat on the university supercomputer, Mac OS X on my university Macbook, a desktop with Windows 7 (necessary for some proprietary software, I don't like it at all, plus there's a virtual machine with Debian on it), and a private netbook which currently runs under Ubuntu 12 - thanks to Ubuntu's lousy hardware support and what they consider "user-friendly" I will definitely go back to Debian on that one once I have time for proper backup and installation. I've just installed a virtual machine with Debian on the Macbook with an xfce desktop environment on it - no display manager, so I work on the console by default. That's what I will install on my netbook as well. Light, stable and nice to work on.

I primarily use my Windows 7 laptop, but I also occasionally use my Eee 701, which out of the box runs a modified version of Xandros.

DOS was fun back in the day, and I've played around with emulating it on my Windows machine, but I haven't properly used it for over a decade.

I used to have a Windows computer forever, but it finally died about two years ago, and I switched to a MacBook; I now primarily use Mac OS X. I have seen computers with Linux, though, and it seemed like a good system. Just not for me.

I'm using Windows 10 on my current computer. I did install a Linux OS on my first laptop since it wasn't a very powerful computer, so having the new OS did help it run faster. I haven't bothered putting Linux on any of the laptops I've had since then--the auto-boot feature on Windows 8 and 10 makes it quite a bit more difficult, and my newer laptops were good enough (I used to go through computers like a growing infant goes through clothes... I've since stopped my habit of drinking tea while on the computer, so fingers crossed on this one).
