Clothes are pieces of fabric that are supposed to keep me warm, make sure I don't get in trouble for public indecency and not look completely horrible, but that's about it.

I do care about clothes, but not fashion per se if that makes sense? As in, I don't give a shit what's new etc. I'll want to look nice but not to attract anyone, not sexually. It's just about finding a rad style that fits me and makes me feel comfortable. Considering I look v punk/alternative and have coloured hair I do get the odd, annoying glances but other than that I kind of try to not be noticed? As in, showing lots of skin etc. But I think it's more to do with my own insecurities.

I also don't think dressing ace is a thing, necessarily. Maybe in ones mind it is, cause society has made us believe that clothes are for impressing people/looking desirable which is a really shitty ideal to grow up in (plus the whole "dressing for your bodytype" thing. it's so controlling?) so you tend to think along of the lines of trying to achieve the complete opposite. I certainly know I've tried.

I care about dressing for my job (which often includes ladders, sawdust, and other physical labor), but otherwise, I like clothes that feel comfortable. And while no one's ever looked at my clothing and said 'asexual', I've definitely had people look at my clothes and say 'lesbian'.

This kind of bugs me because I don't believe there's much connection at all between one's sexuality and their fashion choices/sense.

I definitely identify on the asexual spectrum, and I enjoy fashion - how I dress is a way for me to express myself, and I like the aesthetic appeal of a well-put-together outfit.

I couldn't agree more... In my case I don't exactly follow fashions, but I take from here and there what I like that fits me and makes me comfortable and makes an aesthetic equilibrated composition.

I like to look nice (Or at least what I assume looks nice on me) but I'm not super interested in fashion. I don't care to follow any fashion trends or anything. I just wear whatever I want to wear and leave it at that.

I hate it when I try to look nice for myself and other people assume it's an attempt to impress other people. Why can't a person look good for themselves? Why does it always have to be for someone else? That drives me nuts when people think that way.

I like fashion a lot. I will say that I sometimes put more effort into my outfits during the week due to my job, where I have to look nice/professional, and a bit less on the weekends, when I usually stay home or only leave to run errands. Either way, though, I probably put slightly more effort into choosing my outfits than is really necessary. I tend to gravitate towards clothes that look cute/stylish, but are also really comfortable; I tend to favor sweaters for this reason. In fact, I own more sweaters than any other piece of clothing. I'm also extremely fond of scarves--they are my favorite accessory--and I have at least fifty-sixty of them. I dress like this for me, though, and not for anyone else. Clothing is just an interest I happen to have, and I really like messing around with clothes/mixing-and-matching things to see what I can make...so I guess, above all, it's a creativity thing for me.

Up until I was 13, I wore pretty much what everyone else wore. However, I now make a real effort to dress differently to my peers. To school, it's shirts and ties Monday to Thursday, and then I just wear my casual clothes the rest of the week, i.e. shirts, slacks and a jumper if it's cold.

Outerwear wise, I'm quite weird! I like wearing full-length military trench coats and wide-brim hats, a bit like a film-noir detective!

If I were female, I'd be the kind who wears shirts and ties to work, keeps their hair short and only every wears skirts that come down to my knees.

As a reply to the last question, I've only ever had people assume I was gay by the way I dressed
