hippyman
Well, I've been away from the forums for awhile now, so I thought I'd catch ya'll up. It's been hell, but I think I'm starting to become more comfortable with my orientation and myself. Things all started when a girl I was dating moved in with my back in 2013. This lasted a whole 5-6 months of misery, that managed to wake me up. Now suddenly, I've started to care about my appearance, I'm taking care of home better, I'm remembering peoples names, talking to people more, and most importantly, I am at peace with my asexuality. The only thing I'm having trouble with now is that people still don't understand. I've had people accuse me of being gay, which I'm not, but I'm never sure how to start explaining this to them. Kalidas
Hey I am very new here, and to the whole asexual idea at all. And this is something I am not looking forward too, people that won't understand or will just choose to come up with their own assumptions.
hippyman
It's not really that big of a deal, tbh. I try to just let it all roll off my back. I just have so many other issues, that this seems to come in next to last, my parents are the only ones who have ever questioned me.
