Madalene
Hello! So I used to simply identify as "asexual" until, after three years, I finally formed a strong enough bond with someone to experience sexual attraction, and I started identifying as demisexual. However, even though I experience that attraction now, half the time it's like I'm just asexual and there isn't sexual attraction at all. Would the way to describe this be grey-demisexual? Thanks! :)
an18059
If you want to identify as grey-demisexual then go for it! That sounds about right from what you've described, but obviously it's entirely your choice as to which labels you choose, if any :)
Wineblood
Demisexual doesn't mean you have to experience sexual attraction all the time or to everyone you're close to.
Madalene
Demisexual doesn't mean you have to experience sexual attraction all the time or to everyone you're close to. There's only one person I experience it with. It feels like I switch between being demisexual and just asexual and it's super weird because finding the person attractive one day and not attractive the next is super confusing. Star Bit
It would be Gray-Asexual. Demisexual doesn't mean you have to experience sexual attraction all the time or to everyone you're close to. There's only one person I experience it with. It feels like I switch between being demisexual and just asexual and it's super weird because finding the person attractive one day and not attractive the next is super confusing. Sexuals don't experience sexual attraction 24/7. Sexual attraction is an impulse; that's why ppl are always in a hurry to get the condom on; the mood can go away and then they're nolonger interested. Unless it's a significant gap; like weeks or longer, then it sounds normal. If it is that long then it's called Burstsexual. So it would be Demi-Burst-Pansexual/Burst-Demi-Pansexual-- or simply Gray-Pansexual. But to clarify, sexual attraction is not just genital arousal; you'd also need the desire/impulse to do sexual things to/with that person. Indifference and willingness to compromise is not desire. I looked up Burstsexual and that sounds exactly right, combined with demisexual! Thank you :)
Tarfeather
Sexuals don't experience sexual attraction 24/7. Not all sexuals experience sexual attraction 24/7. <
