Is Comixology any good? I don't have any portable devices but my laptop and I haven't heard much good from the computer app or itunes version so I don't know if I should use it or not.

I would like to get it to read some comics I can't get at my local comic bookstore and it would save up space on my bookshelf.

I actually really liked Comixology. However, you have to be very careful not to lose access to your account or you will never get to see your purchased content again! Some of the reading tools are fun though. Like the one tool that displays it by panel and not the entire page. I would suggest starting an account online (which should be free) and buying a cheap comic just to test it out.

It's a pretty neat idea. The only caveat is that the books are pretty much the same price. :/

Which is fine if you dont want all the long boxes but not the best if you go to cons to get your books signed and things like that.

Give it a try though! Theres quite a few free comics available from the site (older ones i believe)

Yup. That's the most annoying part. Ever since Amazon bought them, they've also started charging taxes. On the positive side, there are some DRM free comics that you can download and read offline, mostly indie stuff (not Marvel or DC). This is fine since indie stuff tends to better than the big two.

What's DRM? Stuff about the cloud they have on the site doesn't make sense to me.

Also, I heard of a thing called "Comicsplus", what's that about?
