IHasCupcake Posted April 22, 2015 Share Posted April 22, 2015 So there's this guy that I kind of enjoy seeing everyday and I get disappointed when I don't see him. It's not that I like him or anything (especially since my friend likes him) I just think he's really funny and relatable even though he's sexual. I don't think you could call us friends yet, but I'm hoping to change that. But every time I talk to him he just stares at me like he's trying to figure me out, or figure out if I like him or not. How do I make it come across as though I'm JUST trying to be his friend and not anything else? Any comments would be appreciated. Link to post Share on other sites

It's harder than it sounds but if you enjoy hanging out with him then continue to do so and explaining to him that you just want to be friends will come naturally. I've literally had people approach me and ask "Can I be your friend" or "Can we hang out?" and it's worked out great! I've had to reject a number of friends who were attracted to me but we are still great friends today. We actually got closer after because they came to a better understanding of who I was and my sexuality. Link to post Share on other sites

If not, ask to be Facebook friends, and emphasize the friend part ;) Try to hook him up with your friend who likes him. Even if it doesn't work out between them, it shows that you are not looking at him as a potential romantic partner. This is also a good idea.
