asexualladyinflag
Ive been married twice but was never in love with either mate. I dont think im capable of it nor have i ever been srcually intersted in anyone. I do form intimate relationships that are emotonal in batyre and have a very deep need for and to express live and affrction but not sexually. Are asexuals capable if falling in love? Ive always consdeted self to be of thisorientation even ad a child long before therr was such a name for it. I was told as a kid thay humans are not and never asexual. Im. In early 50 s and liv r in northen az and would really like to meet others in az with the same orientation. Thanx
binary suns
Asexual are capable of falling in love. Not every human falls in love during their life, regardless of orientation. I've experienced falling in love, but I didn't realize at first it was what I was experiencing because it was platonic love for a good friend, and not romantic or sexual love. I just didn't notice the feeling, because everyone seems to make a big deal out of the romantic and sexual experience that I do not have. (I am not only asexual but also aromantic) You can check out the meet up mart to find other members in your area. http://www.asexuality.org/en/forum/61-united-states/
Cheerful
You sound aromantic asexual to me. Those of us of that stripe love deeply and can be just as devoted to someone, but in a familial way. I have a few years on you, and I've never 'fallen in love'. Welcome to the forum. You've found your community. :)
