Feeling very confused about my sexuality :(

Hi I'm Walsh, a 17 year old girl, and Ive been very confused on what to call my sexuality...

After describing my feelings regarding sex my friend suggested I may be asexual, but I'm just not too sure? Maybe I'm somewhere on the spectrum?

I've been aroused by pictures and videos and I've masturbated, but for some reason the idea of me personally being sexually intimate with another person really turns me off and is almost disturbing?

I've never been in a relationship and I've never kissed anybody and for some reason it doesn't bother me much? Once I described to my friend (the same one that who said I may be asexual) that "I could probably go the rest of my life without sex and it wouldn't bother me"

But at the same time me feeling aroused by people makes me feel like I'm not asexual? (mostly girls, to be honest, I don't quite feel the same about men but I would still be in a relationship with one????? This is just a whole other story though)

This is a whole jumbled mess but man Im just really confused, does anyone have answers :((????

Though aesthetic and personality preferences are possible. Do you mean you get aroused by girls in general? Then thats just arousal; the body's responce, its not fully sexual attraction if you dont actually want to have sex with them.

So it doesn't count as sexually attraction if I don't personally want to have sex with them? That actually makes a lot more sense. Thank you!

I agree with Star Bit but there is no cut and clear rule on sexuality, Ace or whatever that maybe - sometimes labels are horrible things - so just be yourself and you will figure it out in time. There's no hurry to work it you :-)
