ThinkingPositive1982
I have a bit of a problem, could use some advice.... Sometimes, I get the urge to masturbate. When I do, I'm doing well for the first few minutes, then it seems like the desire just drains out of me like air from a popped balloon. It happens every time, I've never reached orgasm. I've tried sensual music, porn, erotica, and just my fantasies, but nothing helped. At the end, when I've finally given up, I feel very frustrated with the whole situation, and with myself. After acknowledging to myself that I can never finish, I then decided not to even try to masturbate, but the arousal or whatever just keeps gnawing at me until I have to try to do something about it. The problem is that I'm stuck in this sort of stupid limbo - I wish I could land more toward one end or the other of the arousal spectrum, whether that means I can orgasm when I masturbate, or whether that means I don't get the urges at all (no arousal is my preference!). Any advice on how I can turn off what little arousal I have, so I don't have to deal with this?
Malony
Sorry can't help with turning of arousal, as I don't get aroused unless I start masturbating. Maybe the way you're doing it is not the best way for you? TMI alert: My electric toothbrush (only for the 'outside' of course :) ) is much more satisfying than a dildo or a vibrator or my hand. Perseus
You are not alone. That sometimes happens to me. You probably were just a little aroused but not enough to masturbate much. You probably weren't in the mood.
Techie
Besides the drug Depo-Provera, which is something you are not going to get, there are foods that supposedly lower your libido. Never tried them myself for that purpose so I cannot really tell you how effective they are. From the web site http://www.besthealthmag.ca/best-eats/nutrition/5-foods-that-lower-your-libido, they are: Liquorice Soy Mint Quinine Corn Flakes Other than soy, I have eaten real liquorice and mint and I have quinine in my gin and tonic. As for corn flakes, maybe that is why Tony the Tiger says "they'reeeeeeee greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!" LOL I have read that lettuce can supposedly lower libido too. So eating salads might work. On a side note, if you eat real liquorice, be careful not to overdo it. It can be toxic in higher quantities. It is hard to find as most "liquorice" candies are really anise flavored and contain no real liquorice. Specialty stores sometimes have the real stuff.

Barylambda
Wow, what a tough area to be in. Unfortunately, can't offer any advice. Sometimes, I use lotion whenever I'm having a problem. Not much help I know, sorry! A-Mazing> Thanks, I will never look at an electric toothbrush the same way again.
DesignHawk
I mean, I know a lot of people masturbate just when they're bored, so arousal isn't technically necessary. Perhaps try to keep going at it, and see if it still feels good/you feel yourself getting closer to orgasm after a while. i know for me, only clit stimulation works like this. I don't have such luck with internal.
