the thing that blows my mind is that every eight years all the cells in your body are replaced, so if you think about it, you have already died several times and you are a completely different person in a literal manner.

I heard that recently in the forth book of the Unwind Dystology.Seems like a logical occurance and I guess it would make sense because your cells are constantly being replaced and rebuilding.

it makes me wonder what memories are. lets say you have a memory of going to your grandparents house when you were 8 and now you are 32, your body has replaced itself 3 times so all your brain cells are just replaying a scene that it was not there fore.

Obviously not every cell in your body replaces. If your brain cells replace, then you won't be able to remember anything. Also, I have heard something about receptor cells in the ear not replacing, therefore hearing deteriorates with age.
