Cpt_Crouton
Hey everyone, Is there such a thing as a "grey-aromantic"? Like someone who usually wouldn't want to be in a romantic relationship, but if the right person came along, they would want to engage in a romantic relationship Stay punny, Cpt_Crouton
MoraDollie
Yes, grayromantic is a valid orientation. It's someone who experiences romantic attraction rarely, and/or under very specific circumstances (such as a kink/fetish).
Perseus
Yes but what you described is really called a Demiromantic. Which is when someone can only develop secondary romantic attraction towards someone they have bond with. Greyromantic mean rare or occasional romantic attraction. Star Bit
Yes; some ppl specify sexual/asexual or romantic/aromantic after gray to show which side of the spectrum they're closer to. But there is a better word for what you described; flexable aromantic (like hetero-flexable meaning a heterosexual/romantic that's open to the possibility of a same sex relationship; not bisexual/romantic because the attraction is that rare or hasn't happened yet but they're open to the possibility). And what he described isnt demiromantic; he never mentioned a needed bond, just if a special rarity came along he'd be open to it.

noparlpf
Sure. I'm basically demiromantic, so that's a kind of grey-aromantic I guess. Zero romantic interest except in exceedingly rare (two) cases.
