But one thing I like about valentines day is that usually many romance fanfictions get published and since I like to read those it's a pretty nice aspect of valentines day ^^ As for what I will do on the day itself: drinking tea and eating cake with my parents (our usual Saturday procedure^^) Link to post Share on other sites

dash Posted February 13, 2015 Share Posted February 13, 2015 I FOUND IT, GUYS. The card I was posting about, from my best friend back in probably 1996 (I was 14). There's a lot on the card, lots of in-jokes and sci fi/fantasy references and stuff, and some art work, and a very long description of why she sent me this type of card and not any other. Finally she says, "Hopefully we will never find any meaning in St. Valentine's Day, and hopefully we shall die old maids. :) Happy 'Whatever' Day," [best friend]." Then on the back, "P.S. hope to God this holiday will never mean anything to us!! :-) I would have to renounce my [status as your special best friend], lest that should happen. Bye!" I went back through a bunch of letters and stuff from her tonight, and now I miss her so much. I also wonder if she's ace. It would not surprise me if she's both asexual and aromantic.
