Bands/artists you want to see play live before you die

I'd need a time machine:

Pink Floyd circa 1973

The Who circa 1971

Jethro Tull on their Thick as a Brick tour

As for bands/artists who aren't defunct or dead:

I'd love to see The Hives live. What a show that must be!

And I already saw Tame Impala in 2013, which was kind of a mistake, because I was literally unable to die before seeing them ;) Worth it

If you ever get the time machine give me a call please so I can spend the rest of my days travelling through 70's UK. Queen, Jethro Tull, Genesis, Yes... a bit of Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple while I'm there.

I've actually seen Tull on their 2012 TAAB1+2 tour, it was great even though Ians voice is pretty much gone. The backup singer did a great job, and TAAB1 would still blow my mind even without any lyrics at all...

Surprised Genesis are not on your list :)

'Modern' Bands I'd like to see:

Decemberists (going to miss them next saturday :( )

Neutral Milk Hotel

Guided by Voices / Robert Pollard

Bands I've seen and will see again even if they never release any new songs ever again:

Frank Turner

Andrew Jackson Jihad

Puggy

Counting Crows

*Smashing Pumpkins original lineup

Maybe possible in my dreams:

*The B-52s

*Thomas Dolby

Laura Marling is on the top of my list, for sure. I've seen almost all of my favorites already.

And The Beatles, particularly before they were big.

Can I say any?

I have only seen two concerts, Jonas Brothers and Trans Siberian Orchestra (saw TSO twice), and I only saw roughly 2/3 of the Jonas Brothers concert (Due to personal reasons). I want to see more, but no band that I like even slightly, comes my state, let alone, my city, which really stinks because I live in one of the bigger states, which is in the top ten states by population.

Joan Fuckin' Jett.

I've seen about 99% of my favourites live, and I feel ever so grateful for that! Like. I still can't believe I've been privileged enough?
But I will not leave this earth until I witness The Ultimate in real life.

The rest of the bands I haven't seen broke up before they came to Europe, or like .. They died, so. I can't really count them anymore.
And ofc there's still a few smaller bands that I'd love to see, too? But Joan Jett is the main one, cause she's shaped my life in so many ways so she's truly the One that comes to mind when I think of musicians I'd absolutely have to see before I die.
