IanH
I'm just curious. If you're a Demisexual/Graysexual, do you wear a pride ring at all? If so, do you wear the black one? Or do you wear a gray one to resemble the gray area? Or is this something unique to those who are completely without sexual attraction?
The Great WTF
I'm moving this thread to the Gray Area. The Great WTF Off-A Moderator
TealXLIV
I'd see nothing wrong with a gray/demi wearing the black ring. Plus a gray ring would look too similar to a silver ring, other than the lack of shine.
Ficulnean
I think that this is a personal choice best answered by a poll, than any authoritative answer.
dissolved
I wear a haematite ring because it's very obviously grey when compared to silver rings or say my steel watch.
deltaX
I'm asexual, but I don't personally see anything wrong with a demisexual or gray-sexual person wearing a black ring. It's a personal choice obviously, and not all demi/gray aces will want to wear a ring, but if you want to, then go for it! I kind of see a black ring as a symbol of being somewhere on the asexual spectrum, not necessarily just "full" asexuals.
Ricecream-man
The one I'm looking at right now but making up excuses not to get is a black spinner ring where the spinner is grey/silver. Solves my fidgeting problems and get the ace thing covered too. :P
Purl
I have a gray silicone ring I wear when around friends. :)
xMinMinx
I recently went to claire's and purchased a small grey ring with a small black "stone" lol, and I am an aro ace i picked it because I liked the colour and how much it accentuated the stone in the middle. I dunno, I am happy with it sooooooooooo... yeah.
pyroshadow
There was a similar thread about this, discussing most Demis and Grey liked the idea of a dark grey or a black and grey stripped ring more, but some also wear black, I think it's a matter of personal choice and also availability. Cherry_Muse
I agree! It definitely a matter of choice, and if you want to wear it whether you are ace or demi or grey-a it shouldn't matter. There all apart of the same spectrum after all, right? Recently I found this stainless steel black ring. It's thin and not particularly fancy/cute, but I still kind of like it. Plus it's more subtle because I've been wearing it for a few days now and no one has said anything :P
Blackmageofdoom
When I get mine, I'd get a black ring and wear it on a necklace around my neck.
thatotherguy57
I'm grey and I wear a black ring on my right middle finger.
The_Verse
The one I'm looking at right now but making up excuses not to get is a black spinner ring where the spinner is grey/silver. Solves my fidgeting problems and get the ace thing covered too. :P I have a spinner ring and every part is black. Spinners are fun :
stonehengegirl
I wear a black ring and I prefer a black ring.
scarletlatitude
I am still looking for a ring. I have found quite a few that I like. Some of them are a black background with a grey pattern on top. I might go for something like that. I too think it's all a matter of personal preference. :)
C_Bean
Haven't bought one yet, but I plan to get a black ring. I identify more closely with asexuality than sexuality. Really, for all purposes and for all and people (with one, and only one exception), I am asexual. Also, I plan to have it as a personal symbol as well as a public one to others on the ace spectrum, and I want my message to be very clear.
MarieIsEatingTacobell
I don't but I was playing around with the idea of getting one. Problem for me is, being both Pan and Demi, it's hard to find pride stuff that symbolizes both, and I'd like to because they're both very important pieces to my identity. Hidden Greg
I've got one on order, predominantly black but with a "grey" (really etched metal) stripe in the middle. I'm sure others from the ace community who spotted it would be fairly sure of its meaning, or if not, at least to enough of an extent to be confident enough to enquire about it. Unlabeled
I'm just curious. If you're a Demisexual/Graysexual, do you wear a pride ring at all? If so, do you wear the black one? Or do you wear a gray one to resemble the gray area? Or is this something unique to those who are completely without sexual attraction? Think I'm the one Jew on earth who doesn't wear jewelry of any sort. Know gold is supposed to have religious significance but I can't stand it. :)
demiandproud
I think it's personal? I wanted to be able to "wear" my demisexuality, so I went out and bought a ring with a black braid-pattern stripe in the middle today. It felt really cool.
