abacct
See, with me, I've always been fascinated by sex, but I've never been sexually attracted to anyone. So in sixth grade when I was joking about sex, I thought it was because everyone else was interested like me, but then I found out in seventh grade a lot of kids were out shagging and it stunned me. I got over it pretty fast, though; I've always been deemed the odd one out among groups of people.
Elegant Elephant
This, this, this, this. I am a high school teacher. Being the young, cool teacher (Lol; I am 23.), I hear a lot more about my students' sexual exploits than most teachers. And let's just say, ew. I knew that people had sex starting really young, but I didn't really know it. It wasn't until I realized that many of my students had YEARS worth of sexual experiences on me that I fully realized I was, well, different. In fact, nearly all of my students have had some sort of experience, and I have had very very little. The majority of my friends lost their virginity around 17 or 18. At that age, I was torn between being "too mature for sex," and "omg, why don't I want to have sex?" I don't even think I ever thought about another human in terms of their sexuality until I was about 21, and that is mostly because my roommate and her boyfriend were rather loud that night. So this thread speaks to me on a deeper level.
Karret
Yes, quite often. xDa I just think of it in a very vague sense, without actually comprehending it. It's just disconcerting to think that my friends or people my age in general have had sex. I don't even mind that some are parents! A really good friend of mine is a mother of two, and I love seeing her and her family and they're all so precious, but I don't associate the fact that she's a mother with the fact that she had sex.... She may as well have been visited by the stork with little bundles of joy [and poop]. And when anyone has mentioned a sexual encounter or that they want to have one, I'm just like "oh okay -nods-" and kind of just... glaze over it.
LeaveOnYourColours
Um I relate so much. So much. I'm a junior and I was surprised when I found out people were interested in sex let alone having it. I know I girl who lost her vCard at 12. With someone who was 15. I kinda expected to be having such feelings around now when I was younger because I thought I'd be at a school where there were people who would pique my interest. No one piqued my interest. My boyfriend lives 1700 miles away and I kinda like it like that. And even with my boyfriend, it's romantic. I'll at least put off sex and he's told me it's okay if we don't have it. To which I responded internally "THANK THE BABY FREAKIN JESUS, LET THAT BE THE TRUTH"
