Asexual fetishist?

Recommended Posts

I've seen it a couple times on here now. Does anyone mind explaining the term "asexual fetishist" to me? Does it mean you have a fetish for being asexual, or that you're asexual with (a) fetish(es)? Thank you!

Being an Asexual Fetishist means that you are an Asexual with fetishes and these fetishes are a defining and essential part of you sexuality.

More or less what Illuminatus said. For instance, I'm basically an asexual heteroromantic, and I have a (sexual) fetish. The nature of such fetish, whether it be some kind of warped sexuality or something else, is such that my sexuality doesn't really match up, in effect, to any better definition.

yes i dont get it either. fetishes are usually pretty sexual even without sex so how can people that are not interested in sex have fetishes ?

Fetishes don't have to be acted out during sex, they're just turn ons. Like a foot fetish, you don't have to mess with their feet and then fuck them, you just have to look at feet and become aroused, so if you had a partner and wanted to masturbate to their feet in the same room then that's needed info in a relationship.

I didn't mean to say "I don't understand how someone who is asexual can have a fetish", because I have some myself, though I'm not sure how integral they are to my being asexual/panromantic/in a relationship with someone. My fetish is unrelated to sex anyways.

most arnt sexual or need or involve sex to achieve sexual arousal using a fetish.

A fetish may just be something that can achieve some form of sexual arousal or another type of enjoyment. Care must be taken to be aware fetishes are or should be handled or defined as something potentially seperate from sexual attraction, orientation and part of the longer arm of sexuality.

But yes, some asexuals that believe that Asexuality is the lack of complete lack sexuality could consider Asexual Fetishists as Sexuals for whatever reason.

Look at my nice little info bit to the left. Good. Now, all I enjoy is reading, and at that gay stuff between guys. I'm female. I'm not transgender. So, it doesn't even require a partner. Which I see the same as having a libido, which doesn't make someone not asexual, but a very specific libido.

My partner and I are both asexual fetishists. We have a number of extreme kinks and fetishes actually :p I even managed to weird a sexual friend of mine out a little when explaining them to him, and he is also a fetishist hah, so yeah, they're extreme even by sexual standards. However, no sex is involved in our fetishes, even in ones that are 'traditionally' considered sexual (hardcore BDSM for example) .. we love kink and fetish, we just have no desire for or enjoyment of partnered sex (genital stimulation of each other), no matter how aroused we are. Hence we are asexual fetishists. We practice fetish, with absolutely no sex (genitals and genital pleasure) involved :)
