If you could choose to change your (a)sexual orientation?

Seeing as I don't want sex, it is hard to imagine wanting to want it, but yes, sometimes I do wish I were sexual. I feel like the traditional relationships are so much easier.

I'm perfectly happy being asexual and wouldn't change it. But I really don't want sex, but would love a romantic partner. Sometimes I think my relationships would go better if I enjoyed sex, or at least didn't mind it, if someone I cared about wanted it.

Finding a romantic partner is all I want out of life, and being asexual makes it too difficult. I hate being asexual and I hate that people will reject any idea of a relationship with me because I don't find sex romantic or interesting or desirable. Even people who don't want kids still want sex! Being asexual is the worst thing I could be and I'd change in a heartbeat.

No way would I change my sexuality, I love being Asexual. I hear sexual people talking about all the emotional turmoil and relationship problems that come attached with sex, and I'm glad I dodged that bullet. I can live my life and be alone with my hobbies without being preoccupied with all that messy stuff. It's oddly liberating. Although... I am also Aromantic, I know other romantic inclined Aces would probably still come up against a lot of those same relationship issues, so I guess that makes me doubly glad. It sounds exhausting. But to each their own, my sexuality was a blessing in disguise because I hate people and love living alone, this way I'm not "missing out" on anything.

Why is this just about sexual orientation? IMHO a similar question about romantic orientation would be much more interesting.

I wouldn't want to change my sexual orientation, but I'm not sure about romantic one...
