sonofsix
I'm a bit confused. Before I ever had sex, I though I was a heterosexual female. I could only imagine possibly having sex with men and when masturbating had to think of either a man and woman or of two men together to get off. But I always avoided actually having sex with actual men and never felt the urge, and have now realized I'm maybe demisexual (or something like it...). I have now had sex, but I've realized that when I'm with another person, I can't acheive orgasm or even get close to it. I can only orgasm when I masturbate on my own. Does that make me autosexual? The thing is, though, that I am not turned on by the thought of my own self - in fact, my own body (like all female bodies) repulses me. I have to think of other imaginary people having sex to get turned on. So what does that make me?
Guest
You look as if you were litho. Think about sex and then don't feel anything in real life. No, you are not auto as you don't fantasize about yourself.
xserpx
You sound like me (I don't want sex with real people, and I don't get aroused by the idea of myself having sex, but I fantasize about fictional characters), and I identify as plain asexual. For one thing, I think orientation is about whether or not you desire sex with real people; it has nothing to do with what you get off to. Lithsexuals feel sexually attracted to real people but don't desire that attraction to be reciprocated, and grey-aces sometimes feel sexual attraction to real people, sometimes not. Being aroused by fictional characters falls more under autochorrisexualism IMO (A disconnection between oneself and a sexual target/object of arousal; may involve sexual fantasies, or arousal in response to erotica or pornography, but lacking any desire to be a participant in the sexual activities therein), which is not an orientation in and of itself because people of all orientations can experience it. What makes us asexual is our lack of sexual attraction to real people.
Star Bit
You look as if you were litho. Think about sex and then don't feel anything in real life. No, you are not auto as you don't fantasize about yourself. You mean Lithsexual, not Litho. Lithsexual is someone with sexual attraction but is either indifferent, turned off, or repulsed by its reciprication (an immediate or over time response). However, the title has a clash with the lesbian subculture and has an alternative name; Akoisexual, but Lith is more commonly known.
sonofsix
Thanks, Excerpts! Autochorrisexualism actually perfectly describes my experience. I hadn't seen my exact situation discussed before, so I was wondering whether there were others like me at all. This makes me feel a lot better.

Actually tumblr has a shorter title for that; Quoisexual. Quoi means something that cannot be adequately described or expressed. (as well as its old term being wtfsexual) From what you've said (and a little research on Tumblr/Google), I don't think quoisexual is like autochorissexualism at all. Quoisexual is when you can't tell the difference between different types of attraction and it has nothing to do with arousal. I don't know a lot about the ins and outs of it, but it still implies you feel some kind of sexual attraction for real people (or it could be aesthetic, sensual, platonic or romantic), but can't tell which type of attraction you're feeling. It puts you somewhere on the grey-ace spectrum. Autochorissexualism OTOH means that you don't desire any part in the sexual activities you are aroused by. Moreover, many asexuals who experience autochorissexualism literally can't imagine themselves having sex, or if they do it's a major turn-off. It doesn't indicate what you're aroused by, or what kinds of attractions you might feel outside of your fantasies. There are plenty of people who imagine themselves having sex with fictional characters, but I (as an autochorissexual), would instead imagine some other character having sex with that character. Savvy?

Savvy? Although i admit i didnt look up Quoisexual, i did do so for Quoiromantic and assumed it was the reverse and had other reasonings. Looking Quoisexual up now, i see pp saying it means they can't tell sexual attraction from sensual attraction, libido, and aesthetic attraction. So Quoi technically could apply to any two indistingushments due to its slightly vague root meaning. But it was originally coined as Quoiromantic to replace wtfromantic so i think its real definition should be sexual to libido. And even if I'm wrong about Quoisexual, Autochroissexual is still the same as wtfsexual. Plus, the proper term for ppl who cant tell the difference between sexual and other types of sensual attraction should be called Quoisensual. This is also a new word because there are only a few posts of it on Tumblr. As for why Autochrois and my definition of Quoisexual being the same was accurate when used under wtfsexual’s meaning, I have to mention a few things: Quoisexual does involve arousal. As you said, they cant tall the difference between different types of attraction, and sexual attraction is both sexual arousal due to a person and the desire to have sex.(I can give you reasons that these two make sexual attraction, but to keep it short, I’ll put that at the very end.) Actually someone doesn’t have to be real for them to feel sexual attraction for them. For one, it says sexual, so there is sexual attraction in Autochroissexual. It would mean they’re sexually attracted to pron. But as I said in a previous comment, sexual attraction to what is not “real” is Fictosexual (it includes live-action characters so it could include porn). But as you said, its only arousal, which means they cant tell the difference between sexual attraction and the demand of their libido so it’s the same as Quoisexual. Then how is arousal by porn not partial sexual attraction? Because it isn’t toward a PERSON; its due to suggestive stimuli; their G-spots are being hit so your G-spots respond to it/ like smelling food and wanting to eat it. You can have preferences on who is in the porn but that’s out of wanting to look at something aesthetically pleasing, not sexual attraction. Autochorissexualism OTOH means that you don't desire any part in the sexual activities you are aroused by. Moreover, many asexuals who experience autochorissexualism literally can't imagine themselves having sex, or if they do it's a major turn-off. There are plenty of people who imagine themselves having sex with fictional characters, but I (as an autochorissexual), would instead imagine some other character having sex with that character. All (except the last centance, that’s Fictosexual) of what you said above are normal asexual things. I’ve read many Asexuals doing these things and AVEN moderators have even confirmed it as well. Asexuals do not have sexual attraction, therefore when they watch porn they most likely do not want to actually have sex either and watch it to jack off. Asexuals can masturbate. With or without stimuli, they’re still 100% Asexual. It’s also a thing among asexuals to not be able to fantasize about themselves having sex and or find it an immediate turn off. Fictosexual is still a sexuality because they feel both sexual arousal when thinking about the character and want to have sex with them. Just because they actually cant doesn’t mean they don’t feel both. Fictosexuals who fantasize with a “step in” for themselves are still sexually attracted to the person. Technicly that would be Ficto-Lithsexual. (I’ll put the explanation that’s supposed to go here tomorrow)

You can have preferences on who is in the porn but that’s out of wanting to look at something aesthetically pleasing, not sexual attraction. It says sexual, but that doesn't mean it's a sexual orientation. This is why I don't really like the word, because it's misleading. The definition in no way states that a person is "sexually attracted to porn". It says that people experience arousal, but no desire to participate in sexual activities. It also doesn't say anything about confusion between two types of attraction, so I'm not really sure how you made that jump. Suffice it to say most asexuals who experience arousal aren't confused about whether they experience sexual attraction or not. I disagree with your analogy slightly. It's more like smelling food and salivating; that is arousal. Sexual attraction is actually wanting to eat. For most asexuals, it's your mouth watering despite the fact you're not hungry. All (except the last centance, that’s Fictosexual) of what you said above are normal asexual things. I’ve read many Asexuals doing these things and AVEN moderators have even confirmed it as well. I'm also not telling anyone how they should identify, or saying that any asexual who does this is an autochorissexual. I just think it's a useful word that people can use if they want to, or Google if they want more info about asexuality and sexual fantasies.
Star Bit
Well a previous post said they were sexually attracted to porn and called themselves Autochroissexual and other posters on the topic pretty much described it the same way. Also, one person may be able to tell the difference between sexual attraction and libido and another may not, saying most asexuals can tell the difference is irreverent to indistingushment existing. -_- I was trying to think of a better analogy but i was tired, your right; salivating is better. Whilst it's normal and many asexuals do it, it isn't the definition of what an asexual is. I'm also not telling anyone how they should identify, or saying that any asexual who does this is an autochorissexual. I just think it's a useful word that people can use if they want to, or Google if they want more info about asexuality and sexual fantasies. No, the definition for Asexual strictly means that they experience no sexual attraction. It does not include that they cannot masturbate. In the same way a straight person masturbating to gay porn does not make them homosexual, and a gay person masturbating to straight porn does not make them heterosexual, an asexual masturbating to porn does not make them sexual, or even sexual for the people in it. newMasturbator
You are probably just asexual (no physical attraction to males or females) with a libido (you masturbate and orgasm). It's pretty common and surely more common than being nonlibidoist and sexual, like me.
