Tired of pleasing myself and porn

In the last couple of years my interest in masturbating has dropped a lot. It's hard to be interested in doing something that I'll have to keep doing again and again. I have a medium to high libido so it's frustrating. Sure it can feel good, it's relaxing, and I do it for release but so what? It's just something I do for my body and not really my mind. I've also watched and seen enough porn in my life that I'm tired of it as well.

Does anyone else feel the same? How do you handle your libido?

For me it is also annoying. The only part I like about it is once it's over and my dopamine levels are increased, that feels nice. The Libido itself, not so much. That's why I try to finish the job as quick as possible. Other than figuring out how to get it over with quickly, I don't really see a better way of handling it. As we age it will go away in time anyways.

If you're a girl I hear it takes much longer, so you have my sympathies.

It's such a bothersome chore (and for me it can take a stupidly long time) - luckily, it's a chore that can wait a few months if it has to. ;)

You could start getting into a new hobby or you could start up a long-term project. If those things don't help, exercise is a good way to divert your sex drive since it also releases about the same amount of dopamine sexual release would. Good luck!

I do it quick as well. I don't see the point in doing it for a long time. Hopefully it will go away but I'm only 28. It feels like a chore too but it seems like my body needs it weekly. It's annoying to deal with when I'm not in the mood.

Exercise sounds like a good idea. I can try doing that more and hopefully I won't masturbate as much.

Well, when I was your age, I was working 40+ hour weeks (and some freelance stuff on weekends), topped off with a 150 mile 1 hr+ each way commute to work each day in some of the worst urban traffic, and on top of that living in a house with no air conditioning in an area where the summer temps would top 110f. Well, let's put it this way - long, often hot exhausting days (and I spent all day on my feet, in workshops with no A/C and minimal heating) work quite well to kill one's libido (at least it did for me). Yes, the Victorians were right about that - long days and hard work can kill your libido. So when bedtime came all I wanted to do was to sleep.

But, if that isn't an option for you, other ways are to simply force your mind to think about other things. If there is nothing to stimulate you, chances are, your libido will fade a bit. Don't look at porn or anything else that might ignite the urge. There are also medications that can kill it, but they all have side effects (one that would be easy for you to get would be the pill, but it doesn't always kill the libido for every woman, for some it can ramp it up) and can cause other problems.

That's good advice! Just keep myself busy so I'm just tired and not aroused as much. I'll keep away from porn. I have thought about the pill but I've tried it before and it didn't change anything. Too bad they don't make a pill that decreases libido.

I write, draw, dance, sing, sew, chat/talk a lot, do yoga, kung-fu... I always keep myself busy, busy, busy...

I would be totally hypersexual, if i wasn't asexual.
