Notte stellata
This is a research request from Ela Przybylo at York University: Take part in a study on the various modes of experiencing asexuality! You are invited to take part in a study that looks at experiences of low levels of sexual attraction, low levels of sexual desire, and various modes of experiencing asexuality. Anyone 18 years or older is invited to participate. All genders, sexual identifications, cultural backgrounds and abilities are welcome. While there is a steady increase in research on asexuality, there is still a lack of work that focuses on the variety of asexuality-spectrum experiences and also how they are interconnected with questions of gender, class, race, and LGBTQ identification. As such, I am interested in listening to stories of asexuality in all their forms. If you are interested in participating in a 60-minute interview to discuss your experiences, thoughts, and attitudes about sex, sexual identity, and sexuality please contact researcher Ela Przybylo at the following email: przybylo@yorku.ca This study has been approved for posting by the Project Team.starrynightProject Team
TheKindredSoul
Aw! I wanted to do this, but I am one year younger than the minimum age requirement. I hope we have some people on AVEN participate. Could I just lie about my age? Maybe not....

LeeBree
Ooh, looks interesting! I volunteered. To those who participated, what means is the interview through? Like, through Skype or phone or entirely through email or?
nakita!
To those who participated, what means is the interview through? Like, through Skype or phone or entirely through email or? I'd like to know as well. It'd be a lot easier on my part if something like email or just a poll were a viable option since I get gradual anxiety pertaining to professional-esque conversations by phone. :(

b88
To everyone wondering how it's conducted, I just got an email from Ela and it'd be a skype call with the audio recorded, or you can meet in person if you live near her :)
Heart
A lot of researchers in the past have been ok with text interviews as well, if you ask and just explain that you have anxiety related to live conversations. She did say in the blurb that all abilities are welcome, so I'm sure she would at least consider helping out when it comes to anxieties! It never hurts to ask.
