I'm 25 and most days I feel like 16/17 or occasionally 11/12...

I just turned 30. Sometimes I feel like I am two different people. There is the responsible adult me who is an assistant manager at a retail store training to be a manager, who is also working to be a writer and trying to write a novel, and who has responsibilities like bills, work, getting my car an oil change, and keeping my place clean. Then there is the child me, who still enjoys cartoons and disney movies, who re-reads harry potter every year, and who could spend an afternoon playing with her niece's my little ponies if I could get away it.

I also have a very hard time judging ages. We sell cigarettes at work and I find myself carding people who get offended because they're in their forties. So when it comes to ages, I really haven't got a clue. Half the time I can't even remember how old I am.

I agree with some others here. Puberty changed my body, and that's kinda all. I mean, certain long term situation changed me. No puberty, but my family situation. Mom says I had to grow up much faster. I had to become quite a bit modest and have a better understanding of thing kids my age at the moment never care about. But, idk, maybe a was and still am modest in some ways, but in many others I'm the carefree child a used to be then.

I'm 23 years old but I really don't feel like it. I don't know if I'd even describe myself as a teenager. Maybe somewhere there and younger. It depends.

I am able to be in a relationship. I want to be in a relationship. But sometimes I'm not exactly easy do deal with. And honestly I'm not sure if that will change.

Glad I wasn't the only one then who did a double take at the title. No offence to the OP.

"Inside every old person is a kid wondering what the hell happened", as the saying goes. I'm glad my "kid" has stuck around.

At 40, I still feel like a kid. I feel like I am pretending to be an adult when I'm at both work and social gatherings. :P

I sleep with a teddy bear every night and I'm not ashamed.

Yes my birth age is 30 but I feel 12. I did finally get my P's and buy my own car a few months ago so I do feel slightly older but only like 12 1/2 not yet 13. I think though some of it is because of how my mother treats me, Im not allowed to do much and every time I go somewhere by car or walking she tells me over and over again to be careful. I got a letter to do jury duty and I thought to myself that I'm not old enough to do that yet.

Sometimes I feel younger than my age but I hate it when people make advances because it's like they're taking advantage especially because I have difficulties.

Its not something I think about much, but my tastes in so many things like music, clothes, movies etc seem like someone much younger. Food is another area. In particular I never developed a taste for alcohol. If I'm out a bar my friends will drinking beer or whatever while I'm dribking coke.

I do feel it when I'm with people who are married and/or have children and they are talking about things I've never experienced and in some cases don't really understand.

Just the other day I was reading an article that at one point was talking about the differences between mature and adolescent love, and I realised how I feel when I a have a crush was much closer to the feelings of adolescent love than mature love.

I have a libido so in that way no, also all the growing up, adult thought, maturity and such, but in a lot of ways relating to sex and relationships I do find I have more in common with children then adults. I haven't really changed my views while everyone else has. Though I'd be disinclined to talk about it that way to others because I feel it would just lead onto a "you should get your hormones checked" discussion

Puperty did hit me at some point but I grow over it and became childlike again but still thank god have gained some maturity :) If/when some guys shows sexual interest towards me, I take it almost as a offence and sign of disrespect :) and would totally do anything else (playing games, sports, dancing, being funny) more likely than some romantic stuff. Some of my friends cannot understand me and are even jealous to me if I get guys attention but I cant understand why....

I have always thought that I will never get married and even if I like children I dont see myself to have one. Most people think Im many years younger than I am and Im cool with that. I dont ever want to be "adult" as the way society see adults.

Anyhow, childlike and childish is a different thing. To be childlike is a good thing but childishness can be stupidity. Many so called adults are childish but being adult and childlike is like enjoying your adult life ever more :) I wish there would be more childlike adults around me .....

By the way, I have noticed that sometimes same age people and older talk to me little bit innocently like to a child....its kind of cute.

I feel childish - physically and mentally. I am only 21, I suppose. When I talk to people my age, I feel like they think I'm stupid. Maybe they do think that.

I'm 16 turning 17 in a few weeks. I usually appear to be a couple years younger than I am. My record is when someone at the movie theater thought I was 11. My friends often joke that I'm 12. It mainly has to do with my personality though. I tend to be either quiet or cute and hyper or a mix.

I don't think It has anything to do with being asexual, although I suppose puberty didn't really hit me too much.
