Chewy
From the demographics poll we saw a majority of us are from North America, I like to break it down further with this poll.

Zash
Hmm... The ratio is 5:3... It should be closer to 10:1 if it is purely population (America has about 10x as many people as Canada, so should be 10x as many from the US than Canada). I wonder what that means. A few theorys: 1) The colder weather of Canada increases the ocurrance of asexuality 2) AVEN is more popular in Canada than the US (per capita) 3) Visibility is better in Canada, so more Canadian asexuals are aware of it (per capita) 4) Canada is more liberal, so 'fringe' sexualities are more accepted Feel free to call out any theories you have too. Maybe it is the proximity to moose that does it?
Onmyouji
I find all internet communities tend to be more evenly geographically spread than populations suggest they should be. Not really sure why. I used to be in the US, but now I'm in the UK, so not voting.
Kagon
Hmm... The ratio is 5:3... Maybe it is the proximity to moose that does it? You asked for theories, so...1) American Aces may be worried about the NSA following their every digital footprint, and don't want to answer surveys about themselves online 2) Some Americans hold jobs extremely demanding of their time and energy, leaving them little left to answer surveys about themselves online 3) Americans didn't have to go to a comletely different country to attend WorldPride, limiting their time to discover this survey Just some ideas! :-P
Chewy
You mean you don't say hello to the NSA person listening to your phone calls when you are on the phone. I do. Sometimes I ask for the opinions.
DexM
For a second there I thought that this was a poll where non U.S. and Canadian citizens get to choose where they would most like to live. I was just about to strap on my battle gear ;)
Chewy
Speaking of the NSA. If you haven't seen this Onion report about Facebook cutting CIA costs, you got to see it. It is perfect. http://www.theonion.com/video/cias-facebook-program-dramatically-cut-agencys-cos,19753/

Sage Raven Domino
Oh, it's great that there are so many Canadians here, I was expecting a worse result (smaller Canada-to-USA ratio). My ranking of potential emigration targets is South Am > Ex-Yugoslav (except Slovenia, Croatia) > Mexico > Central Am > Ireland > UK > EU (except Italy, Spain, France) > Canada > Thailand > Aussie > Belarus >>>> USA >>> Italy > Spain >> France for personal reasons. Skycaptain
Maybe the demographics suggest a tilt towards North America, but probably because that is where there greatest number of computer-literate English speakers are.
Larien
This poll is being locked and moved to the read-only Census Archive for 2014. As part of ongoing Census Forum organization, and in an attempt to keep the demographics of the polls current with the active user base at the time, each poll will last for one year. However, members are allowed and even encouraged to restart new polls similar to the archived ones if they like them. Census Moderator
