My first famous crush was Pete Wentz. I was in love with him for years until he married Ashlee Simpson, then I stopped liking him because it felt like such a betrayal. </3

Second was Hitler. I don't even know how that started, but I was obsessed with him for about 2 years.

Current famous crush is Jared Padalecki, with a mini crush on Dane DeHaan.

Also, there's tons of fictional crushes from all different TV shows & anime which will take too long to name.

I wouldn't say "in love" but I've certainly felt romantically attracted to Hunter Parrish.

A celebrity is Beren Saat. A historical figure... er, Virginia Woolf counts?

Too many fictional characters to list. Mainly this one. Not everyone can look cool with their cheekbones and turning up their coat collar.

I've never really had a crush or anything but I guess more of a squish. I watched MGP Junior 2006...when I was little and I thought one guy there looked so good! That was probably the first time that I thought anyone looked good. I was so confused (the singer in SEB if anyone knows what I'm talking about...random fact: actually my cousin chatted with him back in the days and I was super jealous)

Then there's Ji chang wook in Healer...and Minho from SHINee, V from BTS, oh and Zoro from One Piece is so cool. There's probably more...Yoo Jaesuk isn't really a squish more of a...I don't know what to call it. He just seems like an awesome person.

I've had some mild infatuations with certain fictional and historical women, along with maybe one or two celebrities. But generally I've stuck with girls I actually know.

Welp, probably not love per se, but I used to have a few hardcore celebrity crushes that I am now ashamed of... *cringes at her 12-year-old self*

I still frequently fall for fictional characters, but mostly those I create myself, and not like from books/movies. Not sure what's up with that, maybe it has to do with knowing them so well?

Do platonic ones count? If so, there's Mr. Ratburn from PBS's long-running cartoon Arthur for fictional characters. As far as celebrities, I had a platonic crush on Lucille Ball when I was nine, but I prefer not to talk about that. Klaasje van der Wal, Henk Smitskamp, and especially Mariska Veres and Cor van der Beek. Mariska and Cor are the loves of my life! I've loved Cor since the second grade. I also had a brief squish on Robbie van Leeuwen. What was I thinking?!

I've been in love with the same fictional character on and off since I was 11.

Good to see that I'm not alone, although if I said who it was you'd probably think I was crazy!

I totally 'get' crushes on celebrities and even historical figures because they do/did at least exist in reality. Even if I had never 'crushed' on a famous person, I would still understand. But I don't understand crushes on fictional figures at all simply because they don't exist.

I have a HUGE squish on Daniel Radcliffe, if that counts. Other than that I have a crush on Sirius Black.

The people I've had sort of crushes on are the beautiful actress Katherine Moennig and Shane, who she played on The L Word haha.

Yes, I've had my share of crushes/squishes on celebrities, a lot more than on people I've actually known in real life. I've had seven  , but that has been over the past 28 years or so...

My most recent one has been on James McAvoy, and that's been maybe seven years now. I'm a high school quiz bowl team alum, so I heard about this movie called Starter for 10. I rented that, and I was hooked.

  • A lot of that is intellectual attraction. During interviews, he uses these 25-cent words that you never hear American celebrities use, and a lot of his characters skew toward the brainy side (i.e. Professor X).
  • But some of that is definitely romantic attraction. I mean, has anyone else seen Becoming Jane? His character is so incredibly crush-worthy. I lent the DVD to a 60-something co-worker a few years back, and she wouldn't give it back to me for weeks. I finally asked what she thought of the leading man, and she grabbed her heart. I guess I have good taste in crushes/squishes. :P

I don't think any of us can really fall in love with a celebrity, because we're never going to really know them. Sure, we can follow them on Twitter and Instagram, and meet them at events, but who's to say that we'll ever really know them. I don't mean to be a downer, but I get sad myself thinking that I wish I knew the actual them.

Those I admire though, are Sebastian Stan, Mark Ruffalo, and Ed Sheeran.

Fictional characters that I adore, there are so many more. Alec Lightwood from The Mortal Instruments and Jem Carstairs from The Infernal Devices, Warren Worthington III of Xmen comics, Tod Hudson from the Soul Screamers series, Gendry Waters from A Song of Ice and Fire, Fili and Kili form the Hobbit, and so many more.
