BlackCat101
Well, when I was trying to figure out my sexual orientation, I was looking for ANY information I could find on asexuality. Well, although my school is very well educated on bay, lesbian, bi, etc; I wasn't able to find any information. I went to my local library, and I searched "asexuality" and nothing came up, but when I searched "sexuality" hundreds of things popped up. I was wondering if anybody had any way of educating my school more on asexuality because it really bothers me that since 8th grade, my health teacher hasn't even mentioned it in class. So ya, any help would be great!! Thank you so much
Guest
Every way of raising the awareness is good. If I were you I'd organize an asexuality 101 panel, screen an (A)sexual film or just prepare sth on famous aces and asexuality.
Robin L
Does your school have LGBT awareness day? It's always a good chance to bring up this subject. Bring along some pamphlets if possible. Also great chances are in sex-ed class, when they are talking about LGBT issues. And if your school has pamphlets in the health center about sexuality (not sure how many schools have this), you can put some about asexuality there. Good luck!
TarinSai80
I saw this the other day in another thread in here: http://www.ourbodiesourselves.org/book/excerpt.asp?id=115Although it's from a book about women's sexuality, it's something you can use regardless of gender. Squirrel Combat
Try Wikipedia as one source for your class. That's pretty accessible for everyone and it's pretty much without bias. That's where I learned all the basics about asexuality. Good luck!
BlackCat101
These are all really good ideas! But the only thing is, I want to know how other people in my high school view asexuality. Also, I don't want to sit them down and give them a list of facts. I don't know how to go about this

That might give you an idea of their opinions and bias towards asexuality.
